SO MUCH BETTER THAN A STAND MIXER
I started baking my own whole grain bread 17 years ago with freshly ground flour that I milled with my new flour mill. My first attempt at bread making was a disaster. It was so bad that I had to throw it away. Even the birds would not eat it. However, through the years I have honed my skills into making the best tasting bread ever. I have learned through the stretches of time that bread making is both a science and a creative art. And, it is a skill that is learned by both trial and error. I began with a stone ground flour mill purchased at a health food store and my aunts old Kitchen Aid. The Kitchen Aid, however, was not built for mixing and kneading thick bread dough. The Kitchen Aid moaned and groaned when kneading the bread dough and I knew that it was on its last leg as I was overworking it by baking 2 loaves of bread approximately even 10 days. In 2020 I purchased a new Wondermill Flour Mill and soon after an Aucuma Stand Mixer from Amazon. Both of these machines are amazing products and I still stand behind the quality of these two appliances. And, for a time I continued baking my favorite bread recipes - two loaves every ten days. However, I have slowed down considerably as I am now 87 years old. And, over the last few years my bread making came to a complete stand still. And, I found myself once again eating store bought bread. This bread not only lacked in taste, it also lacked the vitamins, minerals and enzymes that is only found in home baked bread made from freshly ground hard wheat berries. And, seniors especially need this kind of nutrition for optimal health. So, I began my research for an easier way to make the kind of homemade bread that I dearly loved. After watching a video on YouTube I became aquatinted with the Joydeem Dough Maker. This video demonstrated how much easier it would be to mix, knead and ferment bread dough. So, I took a chance bought it from Amazon. And, I was not disappointed. The Joydeem Dough Maker is more than an ordinary mixer. This technically advanced machine takes the bread dough through ALL of the stages of dough making to include precision intermittent mixing, perfectly timed kneading that closely simulates hand kneading as well as through a temperature controlled fermenting process. This advanced feature is due to the fact that the Joydeem Dough Maker has an internal heating element that keeps the dough at an optimal temperature so that you get the perfect rise of your dough every time. And, these added features have become a game changer for me. With my stand mixer I could only make 2 loaves of bread at a time. But, with my new Joydeem Dough Maker I can now make 4 loaves of bread at a time; this reduces the amount of time that I have to spend in the kitchen. And, the cleanups are easier and faster because there are less things that I need to wash. Because of these simplified and time-saving features I now find it so much easier to make my favorite whole grain bread recipes and I am once again enjoying the process of bread making. I highly recommend the Joydeem Dough Maker and give it five super big stars with happy faces. Hands down Joydeem Dough Maker is ten times better than an upright stand mixer and Amazon offers it at a reasonable price. Just buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Good machine, bad documentation
I was torn between giving this dough mixer four or five stars. The machine itself is marvelous, but it was aimed at a Chinese consumer and the manual was just run through google translate or something when it should have been entirely rewritten for a foreign market. That said, I’m a regular bread baker and this dough mixer has become invaluable. Think of it as a bread machine without the bake function—load ingredients, start it up, and it efficiently mixes and proofs your dough, so there’s nothing left but the shaping, second rise, and baking. Proofing temperature is not adjustable even though the Amazon listing says it is, but it was at a good temperature around 100 degrees F. It has a large capacity, so I can mix two large loaves at once. The working parts can go through the dishwasher, even though they say not to. I’ve done it a couple of dozen times now and it’s fine (this gadget is inexpensive enough that I was willing to try). Overall, I recommend this mixer for anyone who bakes bread regularly. It’s simple to operate and easy to clean. Throw out the manual. Honestly, I think this mixer would sell much better if they only fixed its documentation.

Love it
I love it. I've never been able to make good pizza dough, even with a KA stand mixer. This Joydeem has simplified the process, and the results of my very first pizza dough were great. I just used 500g flour 325g water (4 cups flour/1 1/2 cups water). That made a sticky dough that got well worked. At first I thought it was too sticky, but the paddle actually pulls on the dough and then pauses, stretching the dough with each cycle. You can see the gluten developing, watching was it was pretty cool. I dumped the tacky dough on to the counter and used a plastic scraper. A little flour and it was easier to handle than I thought it would be. The pizza this dough was really good, definitely the best I've made at home. Maybe someday I'll buy one of those commercial spiral dough machines that start around $500. They're heavy and kind of need a dedicated spot on a counter because they would be a pain to lug around. The spiral dough mixers are best/easiest way to get that window pane that doesn't tear dough, but for now this $120 machine this will do. This is an attractive machine with decent quality components that are pretty sturdy. I say decent quality because there is a lot of plastic and it seems pretty lightweight. That's actually an advantage for storing and bringing it out though. It's not commercial grade, but it's not meant to be. It's for household use and I think the quality matches that. There are many advantages to this machine. It has a large capacity which easily make four loaves of bread in one batch, and it's fairly quiet while running. Also, it's very easy to use, less messy, and the results are impressive. Using the Joydeem is the simplest way to make really good pizza dough. Add your wet ingredients, select, the mixing time, select the ferment time, start the machine and then add the flour. Put the lid on and walk away. You'll come back to a beautifully risen dough. I did notice this is a "Frequently Returned Item", but why? The machine does exactly what they say it does. The only thing I would criticize is the buttons on the panel which are "bubble" type switches, they don't seem that rugged. That said, I like the machine a lot so far and hope it holds up, because there's a lot of pizza in my future.

Don't destroy your stand mixer making dough, buy this
I purchased this back in 2024 after making bread dough killed my KitchenAid Artisan mixer. Over the last two years I've dumped up to 2000g of flour into this thing (which is almost an entire 5lb bag) repeatedly and it has kept on kicking despite the abuse. Just keep in mind it takes 15-20 minutes for it to get a good windowpane on the dough since it pulses on and off. If you run it for 8 minutes like most recipes using a standard stand mixer call for you will not get the gluten development you need. I will say if the dough is sticky and stiff it will sometimes struggle to spin up the paddle, but after a second of humming it always spins up again. I'd not push it over 2000 grams of flour for sure, but the manual specifically says 2200g is the max. Exceeding that may snap the driveshaft. I also never run the bowl through the dishwasher. It has a bearing in it and the manual also states not to let it sit in soapy water for a long time due to this. The rest I run through the dishwasher on the top rack, but sometimes this will get water into cavities in the lid. I ended up drilling small holes to let the water drain out and haven't had an issue with this since (see attached photos). There is a matter of silly things like the arrows to close the lid being labeled the wrong direction, and the typical poor English in the manual, but overall it's a solid little machine for the money. I recently bought myself an Ankarsrum mixer, but still use the Joydeem if I'm making multiple batches or two different types of bread. It's also small, light and cheap enough I can take it with me if I'm baking at a friend's house without too much worry.

Easy to Use & Clean. Would buy again
Great machine! Works great! Easy to use. Love the ability to set the mix, knead, ferment (rise) times as I like. With this nifty machine I can make great bread again! (in my 70's with joints in my hands that can't kneed dough any longer. (My Kitchen Aid mixer really is not up to doing the proper bread kneading & gets hot in a short time) NEGATIVE = The Instruction booklet was written by someone (or an AI ?) Whose first language was NOT American English. IT Could Really Be Better Written For U.S.A. users! Booklet still gets the basic message across, (if you have made bread (toast😂) before &) if you work to understand it. Lost the review a star! Simple to use, heavy construction, large bowl, well made, stainless steal. Super heavy stainless steal dough hook (mixer / paddle) ; easy to clean & install. Sits on counter & doesn't move while running.

Exceeded ALL my expectations
I used to bake everything from 'scratch' with my Mom, and then my own breads, etc., until graduating from college and joining the rat race. But now that I'm retired and trying to be an even better steward of the resources God has blessed me with, I decided to stop buying things in the grocery store that I could make on my own, bread being one of those things. This Joydeem Electric Dough Maker arrived few days ago. Initially, my expectations were very low because the shipment packaging was thin, raveling and weak. I wasn't expecting much and wow, was I proved wrong. This Joydeem Electric Dough Maker is probably the best purchase I've ever made from Amazon. I decided to go with something hard, my favorite whole wheat bread with nuts and fruit. I can't knead like I used to because of my arthritic shoulders and wrists and this machine is a total game changer. This machine wonderfully mixed and kneaded all my ingredients and did a wonderful job with the proofing. No hard manual labor on my part. Everything worked as advertised. The only suggestion I have is that the manufacture needs to clarify in the instruction book that what it refers to as the "rest" key, is really the "ferment" button on the machine. I could not be more pleased. Lots of dough making ahead. Picture is from my loaf right out of the oven!! Thank you.

I love how fast and easy it handles larger amounts of dough.
I Love the Joydeem Dough Maker. 7.5 I used today to make 1000 gm worth of Caputo 00 Flour to make 72 hr pizza dough. It handled it with no problem. Very easy to Use and clean. Im using the same bowl to ferment on the counter for 24 hr. I am very glad I took the plunge. I will try making a double Batch of brioche dough for orange walnut swirl bread next. I now have to run my dough cycle twice On my bread machine but with joydeem it Will Be a breeze and faster. It is powerful. Very Happy Customer. 6 7 25 Today I made a triple batch of Shortbread Base with Orange zest, Pistachio, Cranberry cookies and it did very well.

If you have issues with your hands! This is the machine to use for dough making!
The best! Add your ingredients, set the timer and the machine dies all the work. I have arthritis and my hands don't have the strength to knead the dough. This machine is the best. The dough comes right up to the top and bakes up light and fluffy.

Best Dough Mixer!
This IS the dough mixer you were looking for! update: one year later: still going strong! Once upon a time, I mixed my own dough. Then I used bread makers. But - I need more than one loaf of bread. Also, we personally do not like the shape of the loaves when they bake in the breadmaker loaf pans, so I was in the habit of removing the dough and shaping it into my own bread pans anyway. When my third bread maker burned out in four years, I decided that I was DONE with bread makers. I started looking for dough mixers. Now there's a rabbit hole you can go down. My goodness. I fully admit that this purchase was a leap of faith that I really had think about. It's expensive. No one I know is using one, or has one, or tried one. They are happy with their breadmakers and their occasional loaves. My family eats toast in the morning. They often take sandwiches for lunch. We like to have breakfast for supper. We eat bread with our soups. So, I had to consider the math. The amount I'd spent on breadmakers that I'd burned out. The amount of bread we eat plus the cost of bread vs the cost of making my own bread. At time of writing, I've been using this once a week for almost four months. It's quieter than a breadmaker (at least all the ones I've used). I typically am using 6 to 9 cups of flour at a time for bread dough - the mixer is rated for up to 12 cups of flour - and it would handle mixing that NO Problem. At time of writing, if I had been buying commercially prepared bread, I would have spent almost the same amount as the purchase price of the mixer - so every loaf after this weekend gets cheaper for me to make. Or as cheap as it can be if the power bill didn't keep going up. This is a great mixer. It's a good design, the gears appear to be metal, the bowl is stainless steel, the dough hook is a heavy piece of steel, it cleans up well, it's not too heavy for me to move around and the first rise happens right in the mixer bowl itself. Like all appliances, you have to "tweak" your recipes a little, so be prepared for that. I do not regret this purchase, in fact, I wish I'd thought of it sooner. Happy Baking :) My only quibble is that the power cord is quite short - it hasn't been issue for me, just more of puzzling thing. Why is it so short?

Joydeem machine amazing
Love, love, love my machine. It works much better than the Kitchen Aid. I tried making dough in my Kitchen Aid and it started to smoke. The kitchen Aid does not take the beating. This machine is so easy to use and i have never had a problem with my dough. It is equiped to handle the kneeding time. Would like to get another to help with all my baking.

Excelente producto. 10/10
