Does anyone know if this plunge base will fit the cordless DCW600 compact router?

Yes, they fit perfectly. I took a chance and bought the DNP612 to use on my DCW600 cordless compact router and, unless there's something I'm not seeing, they are compatible. I wish they'd just tell you that in the specs. Last time I looked, this info wasn't really available.

Has anyone tried to work this on a dwe6000?

I have not; however, the diameter of the 6000 appears to be the same as the 611. Id you are able. Bring your 600 to a local hardware/home improvement store that sells Dewalt and see if the base of the 611 fits the 6000. if it does, the DNP612 should work. The body of the 611 just sets down into the plunge base and does not thread, so the threading is not engaged. The base just clamps onto the body of the router.
