Good product, priced right, delivered the next day - what’s not to like? I’ve always trusted the K&N brand for all my air and oil filter needs, this one doesn’t disappoint. Just make sure to order the o-ring or gasket for your cover separately if you need it. This filter fits a variety of applications, so K&N can’t possibly include the one your bike takes. I used it on my Yamaha SR500.

Good Filter, Better If It Came With Gaskets
Purchased this for the oil change on my 2006 Yamaha 1100 V Star Silverado Classic. This filter fit as it was supposed to and does the job. I am giving it four stars because it does not come with the three gaskets that you need to replace every 8000 miles. If they would start to include those even if it cost an extra couple bucks then I would give this 5 stars. Having to track down those gaskets or pay the highway robbery price from a Yamaha vendor is a pain in the butt. FYI, this filter only works if you have NOT installed the oil conversion kit on your bike. You will need a different filter if you have.

One of the best filters on the American market
When I can, I buy K&N oil filters with rare exceptions. Their quality if far higher than FRAM at a comparable costs and and many OEMs at a lesser cost. It is hard to go wrong with K&N.

Perfekte Passform und hohe Verarbeitungsqualität Der Filter passt exakt in meine SXV 450, sitzt fest und dichtet sauber ab. Die Verarbeitung ist wie gewohnt bei K&N auf höchstem Niveau – stabiles Gehäuse, präzise Dichtungen und eine durchdachte Bauweise für optimale Ölzirkulation. Exzellente Filtrationsleistung und hoher Ölfluss Gerade bei einem Hochleistungsmotor wie der SXV 450 ist eine saubere Ölversorgung essenziell. Der K&N 145 filtert zuverlässig Schmutzpartikel und Ablagerungen aus dem Öl, ohne den Durchfluss zu beeinträchtigen. Das sorgt für eine optimale Schmierung, selbst unter härtesten Bedingungen – sei es bei hoher Drehzahl, starker Belastung oder extremen Temperaturen. Ideal für Straße, Rennstrecke und Offroad Ob normale Straßenfahrten, aggressive Supermoto-Sessions oder anspruchsvolle Offroad-Einsätze – der K&N 145 Ölfilter sorgt stets für eine zuverlässige Ölversorgung. Die robuste Bauweise hält auch hohen Öldrücken stand, was besonders bei der SXV mit ihren hohen Drehzahlen wichtig ist. Mein Fazit: Der beste Ölfilter für die SXV 450!
