I was able to silk press my hair the way that I needed to using this product. I used a generous amount and used it as a deep conditioner and deep conditioning method I can’t really say if it makes hair shine because I also used one of my other products for frizz which gives my hair a shine. I love the way it smells. I like the consistency, it’s not really thick like my deep conditioner and I love the way it bonds to my hair. I actually like this conditioner better than my conditioner and deep conditioner. My hair is naturally curly and no matter what good quality conditioning products I’ve used so far, each one always define my curls and this one was no different so I guess depending on your hair type and hair regimen it will define your curls. Needless to say I am very satisfied with my purchase. However I will say do your own research and/or purchase a smaller amount if you’re just learning to care for your hair or to try out on your hair.
