BE CAREFUL! It wasn't clear which slot to insert the micro SD card into and mine got stuck when I inserted a 1TB micro SD card 50% full of very important stuff, into the wrong slot. Well I tried and tried to pry it out carefully and rather than destroy the very replaceable reader I mistakenly broke my micro SD card. #Q@$%@#$% all that data lots in a fraction of a second on a thoughtless move. Lesson learned use a micro SD card with nothing on it the first time. Also you could insert it into a USB 3.0 port first and then take note of which side is for the USB port and then insert the micro SD card in the other slot. They could have wrote on the bottom of the USB 3.0 end or marked it somehow to let you know which side was the reader. Other than that it works great. I use it to go from my Android phone to my USB 3.0 hub on my laptop and back again all the time. Works as expected. I'll submit pics soon.

I bought this for my cheap dashcam that doesnt have mobile apps or anything, pop this in your android and download an avi player, bam, even your non SD card reading samsung galaxy now can read SD cards! I love these. 1 for me and the wife for a low price, doubles as a usb drive as well that you can put into anything that will read a regular usb. Can't beat this for the price. Even better its so tiny and easy to pocket or store.

I did not have a good experience with this adapter. Some of the other reviews of this item highlight the same problems that I had. The illustrations for the item on Amazon do show how to use it, however, no instructions were included in the package. The fit of the SD card into the adapter was very tight. So tight, in fact, that I was afraid that the adapter would be damaged by forcing the card in. Removing the SD card was also difficult. I managed to grab the end of the card with some tiny needle nose pliers and pull it out. But, the biggest problem was that both micro SD cards from front and back car dashcams were corrupted when I plugged the USB C plug into my cell phone (Samsung phone with Android 16). All of the video files were permanently gone. To confirm the problem, I reformatted the SD card while in the dashcam, made some recordings, and then retrieved and viewed those files on my Windows laptop. I then put the card into the adapter and plugged it into my phone and again the files were gone. Unfortunately for me, I only discovered this problem after the return window had closed.

I’m always looking for ways to transfer photos from my IPhone without pulling out my computer and these card readers definitely make my life easier and that’s all that matters to me.

I have too many micro SD cards from my old phones. But having this device has made things so much easier where I have the option to use it as a flash drive or use it directly into another usb-c connecting device making this extremely versatile and useful. Not to mention keeps the micro SD card safe with the plastic covers they provide you with.

CAUTION!!!! it is very easy to insert the micro SD card on the wrong side Other than an indentation on one side of the micro SD side of the adapter there is no indication where to insert the micro SD card. No directions came with these..

Perfect, works very well on USB C and USB, very small and a nice price. Highly recommended.
