*Update* - I've had these for a year now with well over 1000 miles on them and they have been bombproof. They are still straight and the bearings spin well with the rims having survived numerous rim strikes from unseen rocks. Original: I spent lots of time cross shopping between these, Hunt, LiteBicycle, and some of the Specialized Terra options. After reading lots of positive feedback from consumers on various online forums (in road, gravel and mtb applications), I decided to go with EliteWheels based on price, build quality and the solid warranty these offer. After placing my order on a Wednesday, I received a message within hours to confirm the build specs. The next Monday I received tracking information and had the wheels delivered from China a week after that. That's 12 days from order to delivery; Call me impressed! The wheels came well packed with their box still in great shape after coming half way around the world. Elitewheels includes a roll of tubeless tape sufficient for a single wrap of each wheel. This went on without issue. (For planning purposes, valves were not included). My Specialized Pathfinder Pro tires easily mounted tubeless and inflated with just a track pump. They actually held air for several minutes with no sealant. The bare wheels weighted in at 1,638grams, which is very respectable for a wide rim meant to be used on rough surfaces. For reference, that is right on par with the Roval Terra C. So far I only have a short test ride on them, but they run smooth, sound good, and spin up easily. The hub has a nice, but not too loud sound to it. My only minor complaint is that the front hub has some very minor nicks in the anodizing around the spoke holes. A black Sharpie concealed those without issue. I'll try to update this review as I get more miles on them.

I haven't put the wheels on yet, but they look nice. They claim the wheels are ready for quick release, but they aren't. You have to buy separate adaptors to use on most bikes. They are only an additional $15, but after waiting about a month for the the wheels, then realize they didn't provide that, I now have another month to wait for the adaptors. Seems they would throw it in the box with the wheels. I'm actually returning the wheels. The adaptors they had listed (with pictures of adaptors that looked like I could just put them in the hole, magically changed to hubs (the picture changed and everything). I don't want to take apart the entire wheels and rebuilt it to work with quick release, that's what I paid them for. They might be decent wheels, but they sure don't make it easy to get what you want.

Frankly when compared against the higher priced options, there is little to be discussed. The wheels were absolutely brilliant. They were true and extremely well finished. Bearing fitment was spot on with name brand bearings (NSB). The rims were extremely well finished with no loose carbon fibers or chip. Truly a bargain in the industry. Taping when very easy and tubeless setup was very easy.

I originally bought these to install on my gravel bike (35x32) but i have used them on my road bike with 28mm tires and i am blown away by the quality! The bearings are smoother than what i got on my bikes originally and the ratchet works perfectly. I have over 2000kms on them so far and they stand up to all the abuse i have thrown at them. From the packaging to the communication while the order was received everything about Elite Wheels is top notch! Great product, great customer service, happy customer.

Bearings in the freehub body started to get nothcy and rough after 1800km of riding. Emailed the manufacturer asking for a replacement freehub body to which they responded with the price, $35, and no additional information. When I asked how to proceed with purchasing the item - no response. I even specifically asked for a link to anywhere where I could purchase a new freehub body - again, no response. On their official website, the page with the available freehub bodies has a note that states "If you want to purchase an extra freehub body for the wheels that you bought from the official AliExpress/Amazon store of Elitewheels, please first check with the sales representatives and submit your order on AliExpress/Amazon. Otherwise, there might be a compatibility problem between the freehub body and your wheels." This is exactly what I tried to do and it didn't work. Terrible customer service.
