Awesome, Inexpensive Security camera that doesn't Require a Subscription
This product works great - I have ordered multiple times to place in different areas. Connecting to wifi is easy simple. The video quality is sharp and not only does it pick up audio and allow you to talk through its built in speaker, but it also has a night-vision mode as well as an alarm you can trigger. Customer service is great too - I misplaced the mounting gear for one of the cameras and the vendor sent me a replacement mount and screws at no charge.

I am incredibly impressed with this product! I feel so much safer.
For the very affordable price, this camera is unexpectedly amazing. I have never owned a security camera before. This seemed like a good, basic starter camera. It was easy to download the app and set the camera up. The app is intuitive, and I haven’t run into any problems with it. The app itself seems very well designed. The camera quality is very clear. Night vision is very good as well—last night it even notified me at 3 am when a raccoon walked across my yard. It wasn’t even super close to the camera! I included a picture of the camera view during the day and at night. I love that I get notified on my phone whenever it senses activity. There have been a few times where it sensed activity/recorded/notified me, but there wasn’t actually anything going on in the video. However, this does not bother me, as I would rather the motion sensor be overly sensitive than not sensitive enough/miss things. I didn’t know you could even speak into the camera from your phone—honestly so cool!! I am so impressed with everything about this camera. It truly makes me feel more safe/secure. Especially because it notifies my phone when I’m out of the house if there is any activity in the camera. So far, this product is a 10/10 for me, I would highly recommend it. I am considering buying a second one for my back door. This camera was everything I wanted in a security camera, plus even more extra features that I wasn’t expecting (like speaking into phone to play on the camera speakers). I have no regrets about this camera so far. Although I’ve only had it set up for 4 days, so I can’t speak on the longevity of the product. But as of now, I am super happy with my purchase. Edit: About 2 months later, I felt the need to update my review with my current thoughts. I was really hoping that this camera would continue to work, and good news—This camera is still AMAZING. I actually still haven’t had to charge it since I wrote my original review, which is sort of insane because it’s been constantly on ever since I purchased it. I am so impressed with the battery life. I literally don’t have a single negative thing to say about this camera. It works so perfectly. I get notified on my phone the second something pops up on the camera. The app is great, and lets you go back and rewatch recorded events/download them to your phone. I haven’t had any sort of glitches or problems with the app whatsoever. This has genuinely been one of the best purchases I’ve ever made on Amazon lol. The peace of mind it gives me is so wonderful. I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a great security camera. 10/10 purchase EDIT #2: It's been 7 months since I purchased this. It still works just like it did when I bought it! I'm really impressed by this, as so many products out there start to break down over time. But not this one! (at least so far lol). This has been a good investment. The battery life is still great, the app still works well, the picture quality is still great, and I still feel safer because of it! I like it so much that I came back and made a second edit to my review. Lol.

If you want to have some reasonably priced cameras that can handle extreme temps, this could work.
I've had this for...a year and a half. Battery life is pretty solid. Camera quality is good enough, sound is pretty good. Range for picking up wifi is pretty good. It functions and is right at the outer range of what I have at home. I haven't tested out much of the bells and whistles though, but seems like they should all work. The only thing I am not big on is that there will be times when it just acts like something is there and I have no idea if it's a shadow with the wind, if it's that tree branch over there, if some squirrel is lurking and trying to be sneaky. That's not the end of the world, but I had a day where this thing was pinging my phone all day as if the boogey man was messing around outside. Outside of that, things connected smoothly and I haven't had any issues. The only issue with the app is that they will ask you to sign up for their paid service now and again. Also, this thing does not like being inside looking out through glass. Tried it in a couple different windows and it did not function well. It turned on, but you were 99% of the time not going to see outside. Not sure on having it in the actual elements. I have mine outside under the soffits, so it gets the cold and heat, but doesn't get wet.

No customer support, Beginners security camera
I have questions on several things. Sent them in using the camera app and have had no response. I tried the 800 number on the back of the directions and received a text that I would be called right back. I have had no response on any of the inquiries. The promise I would be called right back has been lingering for over one week. Even the chat bot says, not online now. So, as long as you understand there is no support for this camera, here is my review. Easy set up consists of downloading the app and signing up for web based video recording. Not a big deal. You have thirty days to cancel it before you are charged about 42$ a year for it. Picture quality is good. Mine is set on 760dpi. You can use 2000dpi, but honestly I see no difference. Using the AI technology seems to reduce false triggers. Although, It does one strange thing. There is a hanging flower pot outside near the camera. If the wind blows hard enough and the pot comes within detection range it will trigger the motion sensor. Ok, to be expected, but the notification I receive says parked car detected every time. A parked car isn’t moving. So go figure. Kindergarten AI, it detected something and it only sees the parked car so that’s what must have moved. Ah, ya Ok. It takes 5 seconds to a minute from motion detection until a notice appears on my phone. App isn’t to bad. Play around with it awhile and it will make sense. Camera is easy to mount. I started at 93% battery and in 3 days of playing with the camera the battery is still at 90%. There are not a lot of detections going on. Maybe 4 a day plus 5 going in and out the front door so not a heavy traffic area. The camera battery discharges about 1% a day. Amazing. I can recommend this camera for a first timer to learn what is going on with a security camera as I am a first timer. I am a has been geek and didn’t find this to difficult to set up. When connecting your phone to the camera get as close to your router as possible. I don’t think this camera is a permanent solution for me, but it is like a toy. I enjoy particularly the live feed where you can turn on the camera and watch it like a TV. A week later: Well, I have to repent. I find messing around with my first security camera entertaining enough I ordered a second one. So, ok, they are not bad. If you just download their app and follow the step by step instructions you will be ok. It was very easy to add a second camera. I hate to admit it, but these cameras are ok. A few minor problems though. If you don’t want them triggering and recording all the time you will need to buy their annual subscription so the “AI” filters junk out. But don’t expect the “AI” to actually identify anything correctly. I have received multiple notices that a pet is running around the front yard. When reviewing the video my pet turns out to be a delivery van. Now in my subdivision it is against the rules for a “Pet” not to be on a leash. So I guess the delivery van has something that looks like 4 legs, but the lack of the leash is correctly identified by the “AI” so the delivery van must be a pet. Hmmmm. Have fun with it! Oh, and still no customer support. But I will keep trying just to amuse myself. The only reason I give the camera three stars is they seem to function well. Hay guys how about a simple phone number to call for help.

Few months of use, overall a really solid wireless camera that works well without a subscription
Edit: 06/04/24 Decided to try out the basic plan for a month out of curiosity. I'm likely going to go back to the free plan as it doesn't seem to add much value, but wanted to highlight a couple of cool features that I'm seeing from that The app has a couple of different plans that you can go with from a gen 2 AI plan to basic, to their previous premium plan, so I'm simply doing the basic plan. It's pretty good at being able to detect people. It's also really nice in terms of being able to add tags to notifications of what you actually want to get notified about vs things you simply don't care about It seems bad though at detecting packages at ground level (so think on the same level) I got a notification for it one time, but haven't really seen it for any other time I've had packages delivered. If my camera was facing above, I don't think this would be a problem Otherwise, I don't really see the feature as being too useful at least in my case outside of getting rid of annoying things that happen in general with this camera's notification setup that I've mentioned before. The battery life is still superb and does go a really long time without needing a charge where sometimes I'll even forget about it. The reason why notifications matter is that when the camera is sending you data to the cloud or locally, it drains more battery out of the camera to do this action, which is why when your on the free plan this can be a problem as it can active by leaves blowing by it, so some days I'll have the camera actually go to sleep to prevent notification spam. Wanted to wait a couple of months of actual use to see how the product works without buying a subscription for it. Overall at least for my use case I think that this was a really solid purchase, given that I grabbed it on sale for $20 dollars during black friday holidays. Without subscription - I can purchase a SD card separately to save recordings to a physical device that does not capture my data onto the cloud - I get night vision mode on the camera to view stuff at night if I wanted too - 1080p is actually really solid in my opinion for quality. People overhype 4k; the image is good enough at 1080p, but if you wanted the best quality I'd personally recommend going with 2k. Images beyond 2k will start to have diminishing returns, as the human eye doesn't see much of a difference past 2k. - When people show up at my door I get notifications around 5 seconds of the interaction. This is fine for my use case, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere if that delay is not good enough for your case - I can live view my camera feed to see in real time what's going on. - On an uncharged camera in a resident that gets low volume of traffic (think the occasional delivery man visit, food delivery person coming once a day), I was able to get the camera to last a full month and a half on a 50% charge. What will absolutely kill your battery however is the weather. On non subscription mode, since you don't have the ability to tell it to only notify you of human detection, it will go off on any motion thats on the camera. Windy weather will trigger this the most, however on these days I simply turn off my camera feed, but should be something to be aware of if you go the no subscription route - I can set alarms on the camera to go off I wanted - I can talk through the camera on a live feed, and also get the audio back as well You can get this camera with a subscription to add in Intelligent features that will mainly affect it's notification for motion. I would consider this option if you want to place the camera in a high traffic area like the front of your house of a busy culdesac or you don't want to deal with notifications from the weather. I don't really recommend putting this in your home, primarily because even with an SD card it seems to still upload recordings to the cloud. If privacy is a concern, I personally don't recommend the camera

My issues/thoughts
Not relevant to the product review, shipping and packaging arrived in a timely manner undamaged. I had issues connecting using mobile data. I reached out to customer support, I took a day or two before I got any real response. I was told they were looking into it. I did all sorts of research, and trying very variations of settings to resolve the issue. I have let my neighbor connect and they have no issue using mobile data to view live view. I have unlimited plan, 5G full bars and still could not connect, phone had plenty of memory and was new enough. What it ended up boiling down to, was the Android version. I was working with 11. I now have 14, and I have no issues connecting using mobile data. These cameras are phenomenal, the clarity is fantastic. For the price they are definitely worth it. The app still needs work. There are a lot of things I would change about it. You have to search to find certain things, but wants to know where it is it's easy enough to find. The AI That's used with these cameras is very intelligent, it knows if it's a person that knows if it's a pet or a combination of both, it knows when a vehicle is on screen, when you get your notifications it will specify what variation is part of the motion activated clip. The biggest downside is the camera captures every movement, if an ant moves on a leaf, it captures it. What this does is forces you to turn off all notifications except specific ones like people, pets maybe vehicles. Every motion activated clip gets uploaded, so if these are indoor cameras I would not advise. Customer service is responsive, although, I believe they hope if they wait long enough to give you a definitive answer, you will solve it on your own. If buying multiple cameras on setting them up at the same time make sure you set the last one up that you want to be at the top of the app as there's no way to reorganize the order in which the cameras are on the app so the first one you set up will be at the bottom. I asked if this was something they were going to work on, they said that they would pass the information on to the technical department. You don't buy the subscription, they get three days of cloud coverage, but you are very limited in what you can do using the app. Therefore you will just get notification after notification of movement, by having the app you can have the AI step in and filter through and only show you movement of people and pets and cars, the other motion activated eclipse will still be recorded and uploaded you just won't be bombarded with notifications. I told the company once my issues get sorted out I would give them five stars, they started off at 3, I would have been a two but for the price, you're actually sitting back just thankful it works at all. So for the price and the quality, and they do eventually get back to you with customer support, these are definitely five star cameras. The app they use is called VicoHome. They have a couple different options as far as subscriptions go, ultimately you're better off just spending the extra 9 or $15 and getting the ultimate.

Mixed feelings
I’ve had blink system cameras for several years now but they stopped working properly, so I decided to try something different. I bought 2 of these cameras & I have mixed feelings about them. There are so many issues that were a dealbreaker for me, so I’ll outline the both the good and the bad here: 1. For some strange reason the video clips buffer in a bad way while trying to view them. 2. The audio is absolutely atrocious! It’s choppy & sounds like it’s coming from a tin can. If capturing sound is important to you, these cameras are definitely not for you. It’s really awful. 3. The video quality is pretty darn good & fairly comparable to the blink system. Infrared works good, and there’s also the option of “coloured” night mode (NOTE: The colored night mode sets off a very bright light for each motion detection. It’s basically just a flashlight. Not discrete at all, but some might prefer that as a deterrent?) 4. The battery life is impressive (assuming I can trust the battery percentage shown in the app), but you certainly shouldn’t expect them to last more than maybe 2-4 weeks if you have a lot of activity in your area. 5. Charging the batteries seems to take an unusually long time. It took me about an hour just to charge 10% 6. Setting the cameras up is easy, assuming you have basic tech skills. The camera talks at you during the setup process, which scared the bejeezus out of my cat (and me) LOL! 7. Motion detection isn’t as bad as some reviewers say. It’s possible that the people complaining didn’t position the cameras in the way that’s recommended. (The app guides you thru this during the set up process.) 8. You are limited to capturing motion every 60 seconds. 60 seconds is a long time for your camera to be offline if an intruder is at your door a couple seconds after something else triggers motion. 9. I have absolutely no problem with the 20-second limit on recorded clips. 20 seconds is a perfectly suitable period of time to record. It’s the 60-second offline time between clips that’s the problem for me, because I have a lot of activity around my home. 10. As others have noted, you cannot save live views. This is a huge problem to me! The option to record is there, so I’m confused why it doesn’t save it. Maybe it’s only functional if you pay for a subscription? 11. Downloading clips to your device takes longer than what I’m accustomed to, but no big deal. 12. I didn’t pay for a subscription & found that what you get for free is absolutely more than enough for most people. The app is disappointing for a number of reasons. 1. Firstly, you get logged out of the app if you open it on a different device. That’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s a pain to have to log back into the app every time you switch devices. 2. If you want to disable the cameras, there is no main “off switch” to disabled them. You have to go into the settings of each one individually to do it, which is a slight annoyance for those of us who want a quick way to disable them. 3. I appreciate that video clips you download to your photo album have a date & time stamp on them. (This is not a feature that came with my blink cameras) 4. As I mentioned above, the buffering while trying to view saved clips is maddening. There seems to be no good reason for this. I ultimately decided to only keep one camera and return the other. They are so reasonably priced & it’s worth keeping at least one. In summary, if you’re on a tight budget, I would absolutely recommend these cameras. They do the job well enough & are more than likely to capture an intruder if you set them up right, and the cloud storage you get for FREE is more than enough for the average person, which is why I give it 4 stars. If you’re a spoiledy-pants tech nerd like I am, you might be a little disappointed.

Quality
At this price point, works just fine. Only problem is that is the WIFI requires 2.4 GHz instead of the 5 GHz. Not sure why it's like this. The camera cant transmit on the 5 GHz.
