Puppy Approved
Our 9 week old Bernese Mt Dog loves this enrichment activity. Great for her sniffing, seek and find, and lots of mental stimulation. It’s flexible enough that we can vary the way she has to find the rewards. Please note I do not recommend letting pup use this unsupervised. They can pull the flaps off (which is totally fine) but puppy shark teeth could end up making the flaps a chew toy. That said the toy is made really well and is holding up to extensive biting. Glad we got this!!

Great for puppies and dogs
Great puzzle for puppies and dogs. I have 2 grown dachshund and a dachshund puppy. They all love this and it gives them plenty of engagement time. They prefer meals from this over just a regular bowl.

Good Starter Puzzle But Somewhat Easy for Smarter Dogs
This treat puzzle is well-made and works as advertised, but our Frenchie Charlie found it a little too easy. He's a very smart dog and had all the treats out in under 10 minutes, so it didn't provide the long-term enrichment challenge I was hoping for, but it was fun for him. The quality is solid and the puzzle mechanism works smoothly, so it's not a knock on the product itself. It would probably be perfect for dogs new to puzzle toys or less food-motivated pups. For really smart or experienced puzzle dogs like Charlie, you'll want to move up to a more advanced level pretty quickly. Still a decent toy, just know your dog's skill level before purchasing.

Great quality dog toy for a super chewer!
This was for my 50# 9 month old pit and he absolutely loves it. He has yet to destroy it and he is now 70# at 11 months. This is one tough dog toy that keeps him busy for a little while. 10 out of 10 would recommend. He plays with the ball without the chipmunks constantly.

Review of multiple products
Ball treat dispenser: I specifically bought this ball because it’s diameter is larger than the height from floor to furniture in my apartment - the other ball would get under furniture and I spent a lot of time looking for the ball. I use the ball for feeding my dog his kibble. The problem with this ball is that you cannot twist and open it. So I have to carefully pour in the kibble from the measuring cup. I considered using a funnel but I don’t want the clutter. So you won’t be able to clean this as easily as one you could open. On the bright side, there are less pieces to deal with. Also, I think my dog doesn’t find it as entertaining. There isn’t much challenge - he just nudges it with his nose and the thing spews food. This also means that he isn’t preoccupied for as long. So 3 paws from my dog and 3 stars from me. Worker puzzle: I got it from Amazon for $15. The package was badly damaged and the center piece had a small piece that attaches to the larger and darker piece was broken off. This is what allows the center piece to spin around. I was able to fix it with sugru. I let him at it and I think he figured it out in the time it took for me to put away the dishes. This puzzle was easy for him compared to the Casino and Twister puzzle which are all Advanced/Level 3 puzzles. I think it is also easier for him because it doesn’t have little handles he needs to pull out. So I think we’re on to level 4. The Twister Review: 4-5 month update: my dog finally figured out the Twister. It was frustrating for me and my dog. I had him try out the Casino. It had a shorter learning curve and can finish it in around 5-10 minutes. Then, after a week of doing Casino, I gave him the Twister puzzle and he got that done in under 10 minutes. I think he really needed the Casino puzzle to pick up skills so he could apply it to the Twister. What I did previously was akin to giving a child The Little Train That Could followed by a college level General Chemistry text book and expecting a thesis at the end of it. So I’m completely satisfied now with the puzzle and bumped up my rating to 5/5. So tied string and looped it around a triangular piece of cardboard like a pedal, and gave him the command paw. He was able to pull the key and open the lock with my makeshift pedal in a few minutes. I think the challenge of the puzzle is more physical - the handles are small for human fingers and it isn’t something ergonomic or practical for paws. Maybe if you had a pet monkey it would work great. Design-wise I think humans were given preference over dogs. My dog eventually has figured it out and he is able to open it. The Brick Review: This is the first puzzle my dog was exposed to so it took him longer to figure it out. It took maybe 30 minutes for my 12-year-old Jack Russell to figure out the puzzle. No hints for him! The second time, he got it done in 10 minutes. I initially had some apprehension before purchasing, because I wasn't sure he would be able to figure it out. I had a homemade puzzle made for him that he gave up on. I shared the puzzle with another dog (a samoyed) and it took her a few days. I never had to remove the puzzle from my senior Jack Russel who would just leave the puzzle after he was done, but the 2-year-old samoyed destroyed parts of the brick puzzle. Casino Review: This puzzle took longer to learn. By 3 months he was able to consistently solve the puzzle. I know he’s learned something because it takes him less time to solve the puzzle. He didn’t do puzzles for a month and he was doing the twister puzzle for a while and his time to solve the puzzle increased. So just like humans, dogs have to relearn something they haven’t seen in a while.

INTRIGUING AND FUN FOR MY DOGGO!!
My dog is a true sweetheart, but she's also a fast eater and a very aggressive chewer, so I wanted a puzzle toy that would allow her to use some of her thinking skills, along with it being sturdy enough to handle the power behind her teeth and nails. The Outward Hound Dog Tornado Treat Puzzle Dog Toy works wonderfully, providing a high Activity level and fun Playability!! Granted, although it doesn't take my dog very long to get to the treats -- I typically only place one small treat at a time in the different puzzle bins -- it still makes her have to use her smarts to get to the covered goodies. Having three layers to this puzzle makes it even greater, because the different layers rotate around without the treats just spilling out. As I mentioned before, my dog is an aggressive chewer and I caught her chewing on one of white bin covers while I was refilling the bins, so you should watch your dog the entire time they're playing with this! The puzzle can get noisy when your dog moves the layers around to get to the treats, but I expected that. The toy colors are bright and stimulating. As for the smell, I clean the empty puzzle bins, the bin tops, and all three layers of the toy after each use, because slobber is a byproduct of the play. For me, this Dog Tornado Treat Puzzle Dog Toy is far beyond a great Value for the money, because of its very low price, especially compared to some other puzzle treat toys, it’s sturdiness, and it's fun and reusability!!!

Best easy dog game ever
I've had this product for years and my dog still loves to play with it. Every time I bring it out she gets super excited and can hardly wait to try and get all the treats hidden inside. 10/10 would recomend to all dog owners.
