Great cutter holds an edge a wrap on the handle would be nice but blade itself is great

For the price I'd 100% recommend that you buy this. If you're like me then sharpening knives is a laborious task but this skiver is ridiculously sharp when delivered and will go through the leather without resistance. Obviously the price indicates it's going to be cheap steel that may dull quickly but, I've been using it today and it's been a joy to use. Sharp tools save you so much time and effort. Again, not pretty to look at but amazing to use at this price point.

Extremely sharp, easy to use and works wonderfully, though a little fiddly round corners. A nice design in my opinion, well sized and that anchors in your hand securely though not always comfortably because there is no cushioning on the back.

Cuts things surprisingly well. It’s not amazing steel so will need sharpening after a few jobs but was more than good enough straight out of the packet to wor on leather. Really good for the price.

Eines der besten Skiving knifes mit dem ich bislang gearbeitet habe. Die Form des Messers ermöglicht präzise und kontrollierte Ausdünnungsschnitte, was mit anderen Messern nur mit erheblichem Übungsaufwand erreichbar ist. Das Messer ist sowohl für Rechts- als auch für Linkshänder gleichermaßen verwendbar. Das Material verspricht Schnitthaltigkeit, wobei das Messer aber relativ leicht abgezogen werden kann, was jeder Lederarbeiter sowieso vor jedem Einsatz von seinen Schneidewerkzeugen macht. Um kleinere Ausdünnungsschnitte zu setzen die perfekte Lösung.

Because I'm new to leather working, I'm still learning. The knife is sharp and polished. Not sure if this is the right skiving knife for me. But that's my learning problem. Would I recommend it? Yes if you know that this is the right kind/shape of knife you're comfortable with... Again, very sharp and nicely polished...
