The device is metal. Very sturdy. Maybe possible if you drop it accidentally.

Can this accommodate up to a 1 or 2 tb micro sd card?

Before I returned mine I tried a 1TB card only to find it wouldn't read. Largest capacity I could get to work was a standard 400GB card, my high speed 512GB from SanDisk would not read no matter how it was formatted.

Hi, can it read mqa digital files previously downloaded and stored or only trough tidal?

Yes, it will play MQA files. I add music via PC connection to AP80 or directly to SDXC card, so not sure re. Tidal. It should work fine that way too.
