Works great! Added my own trick.
I drilled 1/2” holes all around stump from the cut to the sides. Then I took an axe and hit it several dozen times. Making sure stump was soaked with water and tools away. I applied a half a bottle of the stump remover which covered it too and sides white. Two weeks I left it alone. Through good and bad weather. After two weeks I burned one stump which of course burned well as this is 50% oxygen chemically. And it burned to level ground. Had to clean bits with axe. But I can mow over now with no hits. Second stump I axed away at it. The stump had become very spongey and easy to level off to ground level. Not to mentions. Makes for a great nitrate in those who make their own black powder or model RC rockets.

Good for degrading dead wood and accelerating burning out
Most reviewers seem to be grading this product on its ability to kill a tree stump. This product label actually recommends first killing the stump with an effective herbicide. This can take weeks or longer to completely kill all part of the stump and prevent sprouting. Then, drill the holes and apply this material to further degrade the wood and increase flammability to burn the stump out after a few weeks more. If you are in a hurry, dig the stump out or rent a stump grinder. Potassium nitrate is a fire accelerant and principle ingredient of gunpowder and fireworks. Just FYI.

It eventually worked!
I did not see the result after I applied it for a few weeks. But as time passed by, the stumps were all killed! It turned out that it just needs some time to kick in.

Useless
I had an avocado (soft wood) tree stump about 15 inches thick. I drilled a few holes as indicated and filled them up with this product and also added some product into the rotten hole in the center of the stump. Added water. Waited for a couple of months, adding some more product and water to the holes. No changes to the stump have been detected. I finally used a chain saw and cut the stump almost to the ground. Made a cut through the holes filled with this product and the wood looked no different than the untreated one. Sill, I had about half bottle of the product left. The manufacturer's MSDS indicates that the active ingredient is potassium nitrate. I decided to use the remaining ampound as a lawn fertilizer. Big mistake. I spreaded it sparcely over some areas of my lawn right before the sprinklers went on. Few days later the grass in these areas started to turn yellow and soon died out completely. I wonder if this product contains some additional components, such as herbicides, that are not listed in MSDS...

Amazing…. But takes time
This product is amazing… it turned two stumps I had after losing trees to storms into pulp…. I mean it just disintegrated. However, have realistic expectations. It takes time. I drilled a bunch of 3/8 holes, filled them with the granules, then poured some boiling water over. I did this twice and then let it set for months. I went by today and kicked the stump and it literally just fell apart. Seriously, if you have the time, use this.

WORKS
I have a huge stump on my hands that was present upon buying the property. Started with drilling holes top sides each to meet one another for air drafting also put oil on your drill bit as drilling to prevent bit stoppage or drill burning up. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS ON BOTTLE CAN’T STRESS ENOUGH !! ESPECIALLY CONTINUING HOT WATER DAYS AFTER APPLICATION. This began this deterioration of the green wood still present in my stump. I also (before) dumped used motor oil all over it. It sucked it up like a sponge. I placed 25lbs of charcoal around the base meticulously added some kinlin and firewood then dowsed the charcoal in lighter fluid. POOF as you can see the center burned out first I give grate credit to the STUMP REMOVER (potassium nitrate) it did degrade decompose and where placed began the removal process. The value of $5.99 a bottle and Prime was comparable to store shelf products locally but they were not a concentrated potassium nitrate as Stump Remover. You can also use Kerosene Vegetable Oil Diesel Fuel (nasty fumes) BUT gasoline IS NOT RECOMMENDED !! Stump removal would have cost me $300. (Estimate)
