REED Men's Luxury Leather Bomber Jacket with Broad Shoulder Fit

This is a heavy-weight jacket, but it does not feel heavy while wearing it. I purchased a Large for a 5'10", 180lb man and it fits great. It is not tight along the shoulders for all ranges of movement, the arm length is a bit past the wrist, and the length sits at the belt area. The storm flap is a great addition for this type of jacket (the 20-year-old jacket this one replaces from a different maker did not have one). The elastic at the base holds the jacket to the body nicely without allowing it to ride up. All three pockets are nice and deep. Liner is well-made and zips in/out smoothly. Inner pocket lines up with the liner pretty well, but it is best to be sure to feel for the top of the leather on the pocket before dropping items in, as no button holds the liner to the pocket. There are several buttons/stretchy loops throughout the jacket/liner to hold the two together, however, just not at the pocket. Snaps on the cuffs and storm flap work well. Leather of the jacket is soft and supple, not stiff. This jacket has nice lines, is very well-made, would be appropriate for dress or casual wear, is constructed of high-quality leather, looks great on, and feels good. Am confident it will last many years. You will not be disappointed in this jacket!

I am certainly not disappointed with this jacket. For the price and by today's manufacturing standards it is pretty much what I could expect. The hide is definitely soft and supple. Although a bit thinner that what I expected and feels a little stretchy (synthetic-y(?). It is warm yet light. Great for Spring and Fall weather. The zip-out lining; I found annoying. I use my inside breast pocket often to carry my phone or slim wallet. The zip-out is not connected to the inside pocket itself which leaves a big gap between the two. I must have had my phone fall out between the lining and pocket 3 times before I finally removed the lining altogether as to avoid causing severe damage to my $800 device. The fit is pretty good and the jacket itself is very comfortable...BUT what's with the collar??? Yikes! - Super 70s' wide!!! The collar dimensions must not be tailored for each individual size. I ordered Small and the collar looks like it would be more appropriate for a large. Nevertheless.... As tempting as it is; I will refrain from even remotely comparing my circa 80s' (still near perfect after 30+) Berman Buckskin Leather Bomber with this new purchase. ....The Reed is still a decent buy EDIT: Update - Upgrading this review for the Reed men's Bomber leather jacket to 5 stars. Having worn it for a couple of weeks I'm really liking it now that it's a little broken in. Although my opinion regarding the liner and ridiculously large collar (for a small) remain un-waivered. Awesome jacket.

Absolutely love this jacket. I bought one about 30 years ago that I have completely worn out and wanted to replace it with a similar coat. This isn't an exact match, but it is very close. This is a heavy weight leather coat, which is exactly what I wanted. The fit was perfect, and the quality of the leather and zippers is terrific. For the price point, this is great. I'm not sure how a jacket at 2-3 times the price could be any better. The leather smells great, and it is definitely very warm. I wore it on a recent trip to London UK where temps were in the low 40's F and even without the liner it was very warm, even had to unzip it or take it off several times because it was too warm. Excellent job Reed, just as impressed with this coat as the original I bought from you many years ago!

It’s a really nice jacket, I have 3 other leather jackets all top of the line and this one fits right in, I am a xxl with broad shoulders and it’s hard to find jackets that fit me but this one fits perfectly.

Great jacket. Bought it for a trip to Fairbanks Alaska in March (off the bus it was -28). totally wind and water proof, good look, good fit, very good construction and materials. Kept me warm and dry for 2 weeks in sub zero temps.

This is one of two REED leather jackets that I purchased from Amazon. The "American Style Bomber",(ASIN:B00KMS9CX6), and The "New Zealand Lambskin",(ASIN:B00KMSD066).The Bomber jacket was made of nice quality top grain leather with a textured look and grain. The New Zealand was made of genuine lambskin leather, much softer and smoother than the other, giving it an overall sharper look. It could be worn with nicer business wear and not be seen as out of place whereas the Bomber's texture looks more casual. The stitching on both was great. The 3 pockets were nice and deep. The lining does not button or attach to the inside pocket, so one must be careful when using it so that the item is indeed going into the pocket and not just the slit in the liner where it will fall to the ground. I'm going to use small binder clips to alleviate that problem. Another inside pocket on the right would have been nice. I am 5'8", 155 lbs, 32" Waist and found that size Medium was a little too roomy for me. The waistband rested on my butt, even when it was zipped up. I ordered a Small in the Lambskin and it fits perfectly. PROS: Both nice leather, Quality workmanship, Good price, Amazon returns CONS: Both made in China, Lining doesn't attach to pocket, Only 1 inner pocket

I ordered it a bit large so I can wear something underneath if need be. The leather is of high quality and soft. Since it is summer I can't comment on the warmth until fall. I intend to put on a protectorant. Since it ships with none applied. It is good value for the money.

very stylish leather jacket and according to the seller is napa leather. when I looked it up, I found information that said Napa leather is a higher quality leather than just sheepskin, its supposed to be instead Goatskin or kid leather. the jacket has only one inner pocket which makes it a bit inconvient but I had a second inner pocket put on the right inner side. For the price it is well worth it given the sharp style. but keep in mind it is genuine leather. this was what concerned me when I ordered it how good and authentic of quality of leather is it. I was impressed, but buying a leather jacket in store is a lot different than buying online.
