Great choice in a die cutter if your space is limited. I purchased this for crafting in our motorhome. So glad that I did!

I have multiple sizes and brands of die cutting machines, but my Sidekick is my go-to machine, especially when I'm traveling. It's small enough to fit in a plastic shoebox along with cutting plates, dies, liquid adhesive, scissors, and paper pads. Perfect for paper crafting on the go. It's also great for cutting embellishments and sentiments without taking up large amounts of workspace or requiring electricity.

I love the ease of use of this machine, and have used it to cut sentiments for almost every card I have made since I purchased it. Last week, the handle broke and I reached out to Sizzix to see if it was possible to purchase a replacement handle, since I didn’t see for sale. They emailed me a response, requesting a few more photographs, which I supplied to them over the weekend. Sizzix replaced the whole unit an hour after I provided them the requested information. I didn’t even complain that the handle broke, although I was disappointed, because I did use it so often that I believe I had gotten value for my money, without the replacement. With their voluntary replacement, I am now a Sizzix first choice customer for life!

This is a great machine or dipping your toes into die cutting and embossing. It's sturdy, suctions to the table well for at least a few minutes, and the dies come out nice. They DO state this in the description - this machine is compatible ONLY with THEIR brand of dies. They aren't kidding, either. I learned this the hard way. It doesn't play nice with generic die plates, and now that I've found myself addicted to playing with the few dies this thing came with, I'm going to be looking for one that's more universal.

It is SMALL! But, that is what you want. It fits most word dies and butterfly, dragonfly and stuff like that. It is only 2.5 inches wide, so small dies fit fine. I love it because of its size. Some people said it was too small, but if you know what to expect you won't be surprised by that. It is so portable and nice to bring with to card making parties! I would highly recommend this item. I did try a different one first and it would not cut. This one has no problem cutting any of my dies I have tried in it. It will leave marks on the plates, but that is normal. At some point you will need to order new cutting plates.

I will start with, I really do love this machine. I really do. I use it daily, and when it works, man, it is a delight. Unfortunately it is not made to take daily use, because I am on my now 4th machine. They last, for me, about a year, then the bearings fall apart and you can no longer cut with it. After the second machine broke, my Mr. FIX IT tried taking a look to see what he could do to no avail. I am not a professional card maker, but try to work on something daily. This is a great machine and I have money invested in plates, which is why I keep ordering it over and over. But I can't recommend it without telling you it's big flaw. Needs better parts.

Exactly what I wanted and didn't realize how broken and need of replacement mine was until I got this one. It cuts on the first pass. For those unfamiliar with die cutting it can be tricky. I like this size because i can store it easily and it limits how much I can buy because it is small. It is mighty though. I did find it took a while for the company to send it and they don't communicate with Amazon. So if you want it right away not the thing to get.

I regret buying this sidekick (orange in color), this was to replacement for the white and teal sidekick had been using for the previous 3 years worked fine until I added a shim and it got stuck and the handle broked off. This sidekick (orange in color), has had problems from its first use and I have only had it for a few days. It has to be straight on when the plates are inserted, however when the plates are inserted it shifts itself to the left causing a jam and it will not cut through. I would liked to return it but I threw away the packing.

The product is smaller than I thought it would be and not all the dies fit in it. Great for small pieces that need to be cut.

Les résultats sont excellents. C est ma seconde machine. J espère que celle-ci tiendra plus que 2 ans. La poignée de ma première s est cassée au niveau de son attaché à la machine. C est sa faiblesse.
