Great fit and Excellent protection.
Snug fit and maximum protection. Works a charm in the airplane and also moving around in my bag. Perfect product for crew.

Fits everywhere
Indestructible and fits into pretty much any aircraft since the mounting brackets are in almost every aircraft I’ve been in. If you’re a pilot and you have an iPad, this is about as necessary as your charger.

Only downside is the price
Great case for aviation. Pencil pocket too tight and exposed to scratches (pocket needs to be deeper). Pivot accessories are tremendously expensive. Aside from the case, they should make mounts that are at least affordable.

The Gold Standard for the Cockpit
I picked up the PIVOT A20A for my iPad Air to use in the cockpit (I fly GA, mostly Cessna 172s/ Pipers), and it is effectively the only serious option if you want to mount your EFB securely. Here is the breakdown after about 50 flight hours with it: The Good: The "Click": The PIVOT mounting system is the main selling point. You slide the case onto the mount (suction cup or yoke), and you hear a distinct click. It is locked in. Turbulence won't budge it. Military-Grade Feel: This thing is a tank. It has a hard polycarbonate shell with rubberized corners. I’ve dropped my flight bag with the iPad inside, and not a scratch. Pencil Charging Actually Works: A lot of rugged cases are too thick for the Apple Pencil 2 to magnetically charge. This case has a specific cutout ("Pencil Edge") that allows it to snap on and charge perfectly, plus a grip on the back to hold it so it doesn't fly under the seat during landing. Cooling: It has vents on the back so the iPad doesn't overheat in direct sunlight—critical if you are flying in Florida or Arizona. Things to Know: Keyboard Incompatibility: Because this is a heavy-duty protective case, you cannot use the Apple Magic Keyboard or Smart Folio with the iPad while it is in this case. You have to take the case off to use those, and... Removal is Tough: This case fits tight. Taking the iPad out requires some serious finger strength. If you plan on swapping cases daily, you will get annoyed fast. Pro Tip: If you fly different aircraft, buy the PIVOT Suction Cup Mount along with this case. It lets you take your setup from a rental 172 to a friend's plane in seconds. Also, don't force the kickstand; it has a specific locking mechanism—read the manual so you don't snap it! Bottom Line: If you are just sitting on the couch watching Netflix, this is overkill. But if you are a student pilot or flying commercially, this is the best insurance policy for your EFB. It’s expensive, but cheaper than replacing an iPad that fell off a cheap yoke mount.

Good product for what it advertises. But some lack of forethought into design.
UPDATE: While I appreciate the toughness of the case and the ability to "prop" up the unit when viewing….the cheap plastic, spring loaded, stand break on me 6 months after use. I tried contacting Flyboys to let them know of this design flaw, but they did not seem too concerned. For the money one may spend on this, go with a better protector. WAY too expensive, the mounts for a standard iPad make it too cluttered and obnoxious in a small aircraft. Negatives: with this model they do not include button extenders for the side of the iPad, making it extremely difficult to change volume or actuate the side controls even for individuals with small hands. Also, the case does come with a hard-shell to cover the screen when not in use; however, when in use (but not in mounted on a yoke---think coffee shop, airport, park, etc.) the cover cannot mount or attach to the back of the unit so you have to stow it somewhere separately, and I can see the cover being misplaced or lost. That leads to the next issue. This case does not come with any screen protector while it is in use---I use the iPad for many other functions than just flying, so if I am walking or moving from one location to the next...there is no protection if the iPad does a "face-plant" from an accidental slip. Also, the very stand that 'props' up the device, is very difficult to up, and even when it starts to open, it feels 'flimsy', as if it will break if I am not careful to open from one side or another. The leading edge of the stand is also somewhat sharp, causing me to nearly cut my finger. All, this being said, none of this issues would be a major deal if the current item as a fraction of the price, but this unit is just BLOATED in price. Check into the X-grip from RAM Mount or another competitor for other options. Until Flyboys, upgrades their product and downgrades their price, I cannot recommend.

Best IPad knee board
I use this weekly in light twins and single engine trainers. It’s the best solution I’ve found yet to protect my iPad and make it useable in flight. I’ve used softer knee boards which then I broke my iPad with, this is sturdy and protects it in case I drop it. I pair it with the pivot knee board leg strap in flight and it works great!

1400$ damage using this case!!
Bent my 1400$ iPad removing this case! (followed the instructions). On the title there's no iPad 11 pro gen4 compatibility but on Amazon product description and pivot website they have this model compatible with iPad pro gen 4 and that's why I bought it and my iPad got stuck in it. I guess there's no case can fit all 4gen iPad in one design. that's why other companies spend money to do a redesign!! But this company just want to keep the profit up I guess!! plastic quality is pretty bad!! comparable to a regular 15$ case! pretty chunky!! they don't have much competitor, so I guess they just talking advantage of that!

Pleasant Surprise
I have not had an opportunity to use the Pivot Case in the course of my job; however, it does appear to be better quality than other IPAD Cases I've tried recently. Will update review if I discover something unexpected.

Top Qualität Sehr Teuer IPad hält sehr gut in der Hülle. Wenn man es nicht immer in der Hülle lässt ist es etwas mühesam es immer aus der Hülle zu bekommen.
