Wiimote compatible!!!
This product absolutely works with Wii factory remotes when used in connection with NES emulator. Play “Old Skool” games the way they were meant to be played!Excellent Product!

Does not work w/ real NES Advantage joystick -> NES Classic Mini
Thanks to all who have written such helpful reviews. While I could not get this connector to work for me, there are several potential points of failure I was able to determine thanks to the reviews, then a few youtube videos. First, my advice to those having issues with performance or an NES advantage working with the system is to first ensure you have both an authentic joystick and an authentic NES Classic mini. My first system I purchased turned out to be a fake. I now have a confirmed authentic system, and while the joystick itself does not work with this connector, I did get more functionality out of the buttons (meaning the A and start button worked - so a modest improvement). The real NES classic mini system does have a 5V power source (unlike the fake one which was about 3V) so that's not the issue here - as a few folks have commented on in reviews. That said, I've ordered a connector from a different vendor, and if that one fails to work as well, I'll chalk this up to some bigger pervasive problem with the connectors or the joystick itself (even though my joystic is authentic and certified as fully functioning by Amazon).

Works great!
I use 2 of them with my official Nintendo NES controllers and they work flawlessly. The only issues I ran into were with the controllers themselves. (Bought a junk controller with a bad connector)

it works as advertised
works with my original nes controller. rectangle with start , select , d-pad , and A, B buttons). actually. i have two controlers and it didnt work with the first one. that conroller must be broke. i guess my advise is : if it doesnt work with one controller, try some other ones before thinking the converter is the issue.

No real opinion...
Bought this by mistake. Thought it was NES to USB. I don't own a Mini NES. I don't feel like bothering with the return. I did look it over though. It seems as well built as any original NES hardware ever was...

I thought I was dreaming at first...
..when I was sent a link to this product. I happen to have original NES controllers as well as an NES advantage controller. It works!! I am not sure who created this item but thank you so much! Do you think there will be something like this when the SNES classic comes out this fall?PS: Warning. If you see an NES classic version of what looks like an NES advantage DO NOT buy it. It is a cheap knock off which is cheaply made and flimsy. Have fun my NES pals.

NES Advantage is working! (with NES Satellite providing power)
I have my old NES Advantage controller working with my new NES Classic using this adapter! Caveat: If you read reviews of this item and similar items you will learn that the old NES Advantage controller requires 5V power, whereas the NES Classic outputs a lower voltage (3.7V, i believe). I was able to overcome the problem by using a NES Satellite with my NES Advantage; the Satellite is powered by C-cell batteries, and the Satellite then powers the NES Advantage controller. All is working perfect for my setup!
