I love these books so much! My son has the entire collection and wants to reread them over and over. They teach great lessons for growing kids, but in a fun relatable way. He now tells our dog in the bed: there’s always room for one more!

Beautifully illustrated and one of the best quality board books I have seen- with rich color and shiny pages. Sadly the story doesnt really lend much to teaching children manners. It just shows 2 hippos in different situations- literally shoving other animals aside and saying excuse me. I would have expected more real life situations to show children in which realistic scenerios to use the words excuse me.

I love the Hello Genius series. Both of my children have read the books in the series over and over. They explain a simple concept in a very clear way. Hippo Says Excuse Me is not my favorite- Hippo is large and as he is walking down the street, getting on public transport, getting in an elevator- he says "excuse me" to the other animals. My kids were about 2 years old when they started engaging in these books and around 4 they stopped requesting the books at bedtime. Little Monkey Calms Down and Little Elephant Listens are two favorites (the kids memorized them). I believe this series teaches basic life skills that are important for children to know. I noticed my kids saying "excuse me" and "please" more often after reading particular books in the series.
