This cable actually works pretty well. The one thing I like about it is that you actually are able to sync on all the ports which is nice. Most of the time only one of the cables can sync and the rest is just charging but this one sync and charges them all. It is a bit bulky on the center piece but it is also very sturdy. It is made of very hard plastic. Even if you were to accidentally drop it or put it in your extremely packed bag, the cable would be pretty nicely protected. It does come with all three types of plugs generally in use today. They are the type c, micro USB, and lightning. They do support data transfer however it is only at the usb 2.0 speed so be aware of that. It does support fast charging however you will need to ensure that you have the appropriate charger to utilize the fast charging. You also can only have one device plugged in at a time to charge as the ports spacing does not allow multiple device charging. The cables are not extremely long it is only a traditional three foot cable. The cable itself is a flat cable. It is tough but extremely thin so it can be retracted and compact. This is definitely nice to have for if you are traveling or even for your car so you do not have to worry about guest needing what cable because you will most likely have the cable type they need unless they still use a 4 pin or 30 pin apple cable (older tech). The cable ends are solid similar size to your traditional cables so you do not have to worry about them breaking although put care when using a micro USB as in time the teeth may lose tension overtime. Overall this cable set is great as it is very portable and tough so you can take it just about anywhere.

We love these chargers. We purchased these for all of our cars and every time we end up having to replace them for whatever reason lost or whatever we keep coming back to these they are great. They work with all the multiple phones iPads and whatever else we need.

I ordered this at the beginning of June because it seemed like a brilliant way to keep the cords to a minimum in my car and I absolutely LOVED it for that. It was exactly what I wanted/needed and worked perfectly while simultaneously connecting my phone to the Car Play on my car. (Win,win!) UNFORTUNATELY, it did not even make it to mid-August. 😮‍💨 As a type-A person who prioritizes taking care of things - I was so sad (and slightly frustrated) that it stopped working so soon. (The cord isn’t kinked or bent/nicked worn out at all) Now, for every 10 times I plug my phone into it, it might actually register once and even then, if you move the phone (even slightly) from whatever spot it was in when it finally registered- the connection will end. I don’t have the desire to fight with that issue constantly while I’m driving so it is basically useless to me at this point. Which sucks because it checked all the boxes and I loved it when it functioned the way it was supposed to.

I have a dual-socket 12 VDC → USB charger in each of our vehicles. I have a smartphone which uses USB-C to charge, my beloved and I both have tablets which use same, she has a flip-phone which uses micro-USB and my parents have iPhones which need Thunderbolt chargers. This thing can charge ANY of the aforementioned devices. Since the micro-USB and USB-C are on opposite sides of the connector, we've even managed to charge the flip phone AND my smartphone at the same time. It took a while, as they were sharing the current, but whatever. The spring-loaded wind-up mechanism is very handy for keeping the cable from hanging out all over the place. So why only 4 stars? About a year after we purchased these, the spring-loaded mechanism broke, in one of them. The charging mechanism still works just peachy, which is why I still give it 4 stars. It just doesn't roll up as compact as it did when new. Other such devices, less-frequently used, still roll up 3 years later.
