As an avid Amazon shopper, I know there's a sometimes fuzzy line between "cheap" and "inexpensive." My wife previously bought two pairs of Amazon lights and we sent them both back because they were flimsy, cheap, and much smaller than they looked in the pictures. Yeah, they were a third of the price of these lamps, but they would not have last more than a year, if that. And they were unattractive. These are the exact opposite. These are built solid, easy to put together, attractive, normal size, and the price won't break your wallet. I connected these to a wireless switch that I installed next to the room switch. Works like a charm. We really like these lamps. I plan to buy a couple more for the upstairs family room.

Lamp came properly boxed up and protected. Lamp went together easily without any problems. Build quality and finish are very good. The pull chain mechanism for turning the lamp on and off is extremely smooth and provides a very satisfying feel to using it. The shade was much heavier and thicker and higher quality than expected which was a huge plus as usually the shades on these types of lamps are quite cheap. Lamp comes with a LED bulb that puts out about a 60W equivalent. Keep in mind that because of the thickness of the shade, the amount of light/illumination that this lamp provides leans more on the side of a relaxing living room lamp near a couch. If you're looking for bright and clear illumination that floods a large room, this is not the lamp for that. However, if you're looking for a lamp for a small to medium size room like in a quiet reading room or TV couch side lamp or home office where you don't want excessive lighting, then this is the lamp for you. I bought this lamp for my small office room which is about 15' x 13'.

Very nice lamp! Base is very sturdy! Lovely wood accent with silver accent pieces. The shade is a lovely linen that was so easy to install: just clip and roll, then join two magnet strips together. Very well done! Will buy another for my library!!

Really impressed with these for the price. Very sturdy, tall and gives off a warm light in our living room. We bought 2, one for either side of the tv and it looks great.

The lamp was pretty fool proof to assemble, as it arrived with the cord running through all the pieces, you just have to screw them together. Two of the pieces didn't go together correctly (tightly) even though I took it apart and tried again 3 different times thinking it was something I was doing. This resulted in my lamp leaning. My husband was able to get one of the pieces tightened down with some major torquing, but not the top piece, which doesn't sit flush like the others. While it is still a very nice looking lamp, and adds adequate lighting to our dark living room, if you look at it up close you can see the obvious top piece not flush as it should be. For this reason I am not giving it 5 stars. I expected a bit more from a simple lamp priced over $100.

I bought this lamp to put next to my reading chair. It’s a beautiful, well-built lamp. It puts out a nice warm light that is perfect for reading and bright enough that it’s the only light I need on in the room. I’m definitely pleased with this purchase.

I'm very happy with this lamp. It's classic style fits in with almost any decor. The assembly didn't take long. Just be patient feeding the wire through the 3-piece stem section, so as not to damage the insulation. It is packed in a relatively small box and the shade fabric is rolled up and needs to be stretched out and velcroed to a frame. They make it pretty easy to save you loads of shipping costs. I waited till the price dropped and got mine for @$180 Cdn.
