Rebel Lures Pop-R Topwater Popper Fishing Lure

The rebel popper is truly the best popper on the market. I prefer the magnum model, longer than the Pop'r lure at 3" rather than 2". The magnum can be cast longer distances and disturbs more water than its smaller brother, the Pop'R. I fish numerous times each week for largemouth bass and northern pike. The magnum catches fish, period. There can be one difficulty. I use a steel leader to avoid bite-offs by hungry pike. The lure head is concave, and it can be a chore to easily attach the popper to this leader. But the concavity makes this lure deadly, and I hope Rebel never changes the design. Simply put, it is flat out the best popper in results than you can put into your tackle box.

My confidence lure for summer time bass. This works on LMB & SMB of all sizes. I usually get them after a few twitches. I had to replace the rear hook on this after catching too many during 1 kayaking trip. After the second trip it stopping floating due to sustained damages. Looks like I had to replace it with another one now. This lure catches just about everything.

Have not used it yet so no review. But I’m sure as a top water it will be fine

Took these out for the second time and caught some nice fish with them, these would be the perfect size for bigger fish but the little ones will hit em all the same, I’ve also had a few rock and log snags and didn’t see any damage to my lure so far after retrieving said lure.

I've used this popper only once and had some great results. I'm not the best with taking pictures when fishing alone but I did grab one after catching a few fish in a short period of time. This popper I am throwing on a 6ft ultralight spinning rod with 8lb braid. The popper can be cast far with this setup. Great popping action and with practice a tight walk the dog action. When fishing poppers I like to cast then let the popper sit for about 10 seconds. If a fish hasn't hit it yet then I pop it a couple of times. It's like ringing the dinner bell. With the hooks on the bottom and back I'm getting more hookups. I am new to fishing with spinning gear as I am traditionally a fly fisherman so I'm still learning the slight nuances with the new gear. If you've ever fished with fly poppers they never ever have treble hooks and only a single hook at the back. This popper design allows for more hookups in my opinion especially with fish that have smaller mouths. Top water fishing is addictive.

These seem to be of lesser quality than individual Pop-r’s. They do function properly so maybe it’s just the finish.. There are many brands out there, but none of them are as good as Pop-r on price or quality. I’ve got one that survived my childhood. I put new hooks on it and threw it recently. Still chugging.
