desertcart.com: Dot Grid Notebook: Large (8.5 x 11 inches) - 106 Dotted Pages | Red Dotted Notebook/Journal: 9781545372005: Notebooks, Lila: Books Review: Best school notebook I’ve ever used - This is the best notebook I’ve ever used for class. I migrated from using an iPad Pro (12.9 inch) because I missed the feel of real paper and this notebook really scratched that itch, and more. The notebook is roughly the same size as the iPad and the paper is a beautiful off white/cream with dots. First time I used a notebook with the dot grid paper and it really is amazing. I used the notebook to self study calculus since I took it a couple of years ago and now soon I’ll be taking physics, so this notebook was used for jotting notes down from free MIT lectures online as well as doing textbook problems. Now for the more analytical stuff: The paper is very attractive. It’s definitely thick enough that gel pen and sharpie PEN doesn’t bleed through noticeably (I’ve included an up close pic). Thick sharpie most certainly does bleed through so watch out. Also, if you write heavy handed with a pencil and then erase, a permanent imprint will remain on the page. All the pens/pencils used in the pictures demonstrated were either 0.5 or 0.38, the perfect size I would say for fitting in between the grids. The left hand pages crease a bit as you have the book open and try to flatten that side to write on it, but really nothing terrible. The cover is a really soft velvety material. It feels soft to the touch and on the inside you can tell it’s a kind of carboard material. I don’t think it would hold up well in a backpack being tossed around or with sharp objects or wired books near it, so for me it’ll stay home. Something to note is that all of these books (I ordered a few after receiving the first and falling in love) is that every single one had weird glue-residue-like marks on the front. It really doesn’t bother me at all but if that’s something that would annoy you, take note of that. I included this in a picture as well. Also, don’t try to write on the side of the cover (the part you would see if it was away on a bookshelf). I tried writing on it twice with sharpie pen but it rubbed off both times, despite not opening the book for hours after. TLDR: All in all, this is literally my favorite notebook of all time. I’ll be using this notebook almost exclusively for all my upcoming engineering classes. The book is large, has plenty of pages, the pages are thick and gel pen/pencil looks beautiful on it. There’s very few cosmetic flaws but really what’s on the inside is the closest thing to perfect. 10/10 for this physics/engineering student and will be exclusively buying these from now on. Review: Perfect for my lectures & lab - I been loving grid patterns instead of the lines lately. I started printing dot grid to use for note taking and everyone always comments back how neat they are. I decided to but this notebook because papers are flying all over the place. I can't deal with another semester of paper digging. I try to keep my papers organized but it builds up quick! I'm studying biology so there's a lot of note taking & diagrams. With the dot grid it helps keep everything organized. Professors tend to jump around topics (like skipping&going back on powerpoints) so what the grid allows me to do is write my notes in columns. I write on the left half side as he goes and if he adds back to an initial slide I can write on the right half side. I use the right side for additional add-on notes and diagrams. Its been very helpful especially in labs when I need to look back and figure out why we have to use a specific enzyme or how the structure is. I would have the answer on that column. Or it'll have any additional junk he would say that's some what relevant that the professor might test us (they love to put irrelevant material on exams to see who shows up for class). I can't see myself going back on regular lined paper. The paper itself is also pretty good quality. It's not too thin that the pen bleeds, or have that ghosting. I use gel pens & occasionally markers and have no issue. I tend to write pretty hard, especially when doodling diagrams and have no issue with it. I recommended to my friends in class also. At first I thought the book was a bit too big. But I grew to love it. It's actually the same size as my lab manual so all my books are the same size which made it easy to carry around and put in my bag.

Perfect for my lectures & lab
I been loving grid patterns instead of the lines lately. I started printing dot grid to use for note taking and everyone always comments back how neat they are. I decided to but this notebook because papers are flying all over the place. I can't deal with another semester of paper digging. I try to keep my papers organized but it builds up quick! Favorite Dot Journal
This is my favorite brand of Dot Journal. Its larger than typical bullet journals offering a full 8.5x11. Pages are double sided. Thick pages that prevent Farber Castille Pens, Mildliners, Watercolor Brush Pens from bleeding through (sharpies will!). This is my second journal, I use 1 per year and have pages to spare despite tearing some out when I mess up a layout design. These do not have serrated pages, but its easy to have a clean tear. I have not had any issues with loose pages after tearing a sheet out. I also really like the texture of the cover, it's actually a softer plastic cover.

Excellent book for $5
Recently got interested in bullet journaling and wanted something inexpensive to start with. This is wonderful for the money. The dots are soft and the paper is good quality. The book does not lie flat. I am using it to sketch out some designs and decide how to lay out the journal before getting started with a more expensive one. The color is not a bright orange, more of a melon-orange color which is pretty :)

Great for ink pens, not so much for brush pens.
I love using nice dot grid paper for my I notes to study for nursing school. I’m always on the lookout for nice paper that rivals Rhodia without the price, so I was excited to check this out. The cover has a weird feel to it that I like, and the paper is on the coarser side and the dots are a bit too dark for my liking. Brush pens don’t work for this as the ink bleeds a bit while writing and it soaks it in instead of gliding it along. Ball point fountain pens work pretty good which was a pleasant surprise. But regular bold point pens are my favorite. They glide so smoothly on this paper. Makes writing a breeze!

Will come back for more.
I just got it in the mail today. I am amazed by the quality of this notebook for such a great price. Print is clear, pages are pretty thick and cover feels really nice. Happy with it!

Everything as advertised
Met my expectations perfectly. So far it has proved durable, the cover has a nice texture to it, and I’ll definately be buying more in the future.

The dots are bit darker than I usually like, but the paper is thick and good quality. The spine is durable and heartily bound (I had to snap it a bit to make it more flexible, but after that it layed down perfectly without being too bulky in the middle). The pages have very little bleed through. The size was perfect for what I wanted, making it work really well for journalling and extra space for drawings.

Love these notebooks. The paper is fairly thick (you can see through to the other side, but the ink doesn't bleed through or anything), they're the perfect size, and the cover colours are really fun.
