Cyanide and Happiness: A Cult Comic Book of Dark Humor from the #1 Bestselling Webcomics [Wilson, Kris, Melvin, Matt, Denbleyker, Rob, McElfatric, Dave] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Cyanide and Happiness: A Cult Comic Book of Dark Humor from the #1 Bestselling Webcomics Review: Excellent Hardcopy (Paperback) Representation of the Webcomic - Cyanide and Happiness. Understand this - if you do not like the webcomic, you will not like this book. There is nothing in this book, for the most part, that is not available free on the internet to read on their website. However, this book is the perfect addition to a comic/graphic novel collection, and I LOVE it. This book is full of webcomics about... nothing... and everything. Yes, they make fun of the crucifixion, boobies, murder, child murder, sex, and everything else. It is meant to be taken lightly, but has very serious undercurrents that require a certain dark humor to appreciate. This comic is NOT for everyone. It is, however, insightful, brilliant, acerbic, and (most importantly) incredibly funny. Now, for the book itself, it is a paperback book with color drawing. It is 160-something pages or so long, and it recreates comic from the web, while adding a couple new ones. If you have read all the webcomics, though, don't expect a whole lot of new material. The colors stand out well on a semi-gloss paper stock, and the paperback is not flimsy. Certainly, as someone else stated, hardback would have been great, but they did not skimp on the weight/sturdiness of the paperback cover. Conclusion? If you like the webcomic... GET IT. It is a great addition to any collection and non-webcomic-savvy friends will love you for sharing it with them. If you've never heard of it, go to the website first and test it out to see if it's your brand of humor. It is NOT for everyone. I love it, though. I bought it, no hesitation, and I don't regret it. Review: This may offend people under the age of 15 and over the age of 50. - Cyanide and Happiness is a long running internet comic, one which may be the most offensive and akward material out there apart from pornagraphy. But who said that was a bad thing? This book will keep you laughing through the entire thing and then a little longer at the end where new comics have been printed. My only problem with this book was the amount of comics on each page and the length of the book. It seems as if the publisher could have easily printed nearly three comics on each page, however there is only one per page. It may have been a style they were working on but I like to get more for my money. At the same time, the book is a little short, I found myself finishing it within a few hours, whilst trying to keep my friends from stealing away the book to read it themselves. Its a very popular title, and even with its flaws, it is a GREAT DEAL for around $10.

Amusing toons that sometimes made me cringe
Like the authors say in the intro, if you're younger than 15 or older than 50, then you'll likely find something offensive here. I am 46 and have never been offended in my life, but some of what you'll find in "Cyanide's" pages will be in poor taste--but nevertheless clever and amusing all at once. I read this on my Kindle Fire (non-HD) and frequently had to touch a picture and zoom to read the tiny text in some of the cartoons, which got to be a drag after a while. Nevertheless, an enjoyable albeit brief read.

Not for you if you get offended easily
I think this might be my favorite webcomic collection ever. Some of the jokes just go too far and I LOVE it. Every time I show it to someone who's not familiar with it they stare in disbelief when they read the first ones but after they realize what type of humor it is they laugh out loud at most of them. The never before seen comics are amazing! This collection contains some of the most dark and dry humor comics I've read. It's also part of the Kindle Matchbook program so you can get the digital version for really cheap. The authors are also working on small short videos every week, so I think it's great supporting their work so they can improve the quality of their work even more and guarantee that we'll have a daily comic for years to come!

I thought It Was Funny
I've been reading this comic on the web for at least a couple of years now so when they put out this book, I felt obligated to buy it but I procrastinated (did I spell that right?)long enough that they put out another one so I bought both at the same time. This brand of humor is not for everyone. I wouldn't recomend it for a 6 year old or your church pastor. It's "R" rated humor no doubt. I suppose I could've downloaded all the strips off of their website, printed 'em off and bound 'em together and made my own book, but there's extra stuff not found on the web in both this one and the 2nd book so I'd be missing out on some never before seen very funny, and mostly sick comics. All kidding aside, this book is very well put together and the printing is high quality. Makes a good book to leave on the coffee table for a good chuckle. If you are not familiar with Cyanide and Happiness, be sure to use the "Look Inside" feature on Amazon. The first few pages are pretty much the type of material included throughout.

A modern comic strip for College and young adults
I had seen the shorts online for Cyanide and Happiness and really enjoyed the humor that the authors brought. The book itself has many different short comics within, many that would be considered controversial or completely off-base with modern humanity, yet funny to the point that moral feelings can be put to the wayside. The book is of high quality with glossy pages and full color. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone that doesn't mind getting offended from time to time and can take a joke. Enjoy!

some good laughs, but short read.
read thru the whole thing in about 45 minutes. Some very very funny stuff in here, but you might want to just borrow it or go to local B&N to read it for an afternoon. Otherwise, for 9 bucks, it was a good laugh.

Habe das als Klolektüre gekauft. Schaue selbst doch immer mal wieder rein und auch für die Gäste ist es mal was anderes, als die sonstiges "lustigen" Bücher auf der Toilette.

It's always an utter joy to read Xplosm.Net's Cyanide and Happiness series. This book is a collection of some of the better comics they've made, as well as some unseen 'exclusive' ones. Most of which retain the classic Cyanide and Happiness charm! My only issue with the book is that, ironically, it's too short! The webcomic in question is traditionally very, very short and quick to read; this is unchanged in the book, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but perhaps if another book is made, far more could be squashed in? Either way, whatever race, gender, sexual orientation or species you are, I guarantee that you won't regret buying this book. Five stars.
