Just plug and play
When infirst plugged it in, i was not impressed but some said you need to break it in, so i gave it 2 weeks and wow! Twice as loud. The lows are deep you can feel it in your throut and ears ring. I listen mostly to metal and EDM, metal sounds good not prefect little muddy but with thr amp having a bass boost knob i have control over the sub. As for EDM, hip hop and classical music its perfect. The low piano notes sound phenomenal. Best part is you can feel the music. I have the amp set half way because its too much for me and im a bass head which helps with my ADHD. Amp i hooked it up to is Belva BB200ABv2 must have a bass knob if you like different type of music. Havent tested it on country not a fan of john deere music or jazz.Update: subwoofer is preforming even better than before i noticed laying it flat produces slightly more bass and gives out vibrations, works great on a first date.

sounds amazing
As posted by others, if you are a bass head then yes you will want more. I am a bass head going back 20 years of having subs in my cars. I am finally at that phase in my life that I don't need all that bass anymore, I just want good bass sound. Paired with the recommended amp by a Kicker technician, I could not be more please than what I am with this sub and amp ( Kicker CXA400.1 )If you are looking for really great sounding bass that isn't making your chest and head hurt then I highly recommend this sub, if you are wanting super strong hitting bass... go bigger. For my little Toyota Corolla work beater, this is PERFECT!!!

Great bang for the buck combo
As someone not willing to sacrifice 1/4 or 1/2 of my rear cargo space, this combo worked just perfect. It sits perfectly between the 2nd row & folded down 3rd row of my 03 Durango. I wasn't sure what to expect in-terms of bass quality with a single 10" sub-woofer in a slim box at the back of a 3rd row suv. I had read some reviews on here saying the subwoofer has a "break-in" time(I've personally never heard of this, but I am by no means well educated with audio hardware, but it seemed logical). Well after wiring everything in, and tuning the amp(Kicker CX400.1 Mono) my first impressions weren't thrilling, and semi disappointing. I fine-tuned the amp progressively over the next few days, which helped a bit, but I really honestly expected more. About a week or so after initial install, there was a particular morning I was about to leave for work, and I had turned my music on, and it's as if overnight my subwoofer was transformed. It was now giving great bass, at least for what you would expect out of a single 10" sub. Break-in period or not, something changed without me touching anything. Overall really awesome little setup for the price. Very clean, and minimally invasive.

I like it.
I just got mine today, i put it in a crew cab 2500hd classic, truck already had a amp pushing all the door speakers and factory tweeters but not much of any bass, so i bought this. I didn't really want something that would rattle the windows in my house, but without adjusting the all to turn the sub down it did, straight out of the box it hit hard, and it sounds good with just the one. I mostly listen to country, but I mix it up a little and it sounds good with all types of music. It fit behind the back seat a little snug but seems to be working just fine.

Works and sounds good
Fits in my trunk without taking up as much room as the full size enclosure I had. Works well with the 500w amp in bridge mode. Would recommend.
