Streeterville THERMALOCK™ Desk Mug, 420 ml

Stays hot for about 10-12 hours, ice cubes even longer! Pretty little cup, I've had no leakage issues with the lid. Get a good use out of one tea bag, makes a large mug size or 2 cup sizes, I like a pot of tea this one does just as well, I went for the greyish/white. It has a rubber bit at the bottom for non-slip. Don't forget you'll be drinking out of a tin can and it won't cool down like a cup it'll stay hot even after a few sips not your best china so has a different experience. Very pleased definitely recommend and buy again 5Stars

This is an excellent insulated cup. It looks good, is really well made and keeps my tea warm for an age. Very happy with it.

Very pleased with the quality of this mug, great outdoors in winter for keeping your drinks hot. Some discolouration inside even after washing though.

Keeps it hot for a while and warm for a while longer. Metal build with a metal handle, should last a long time too. Drinking hole is better than their flasks as it doesn't dribble down your chin, and the lid easily separates into 2 for cleaning. My old Thermos mug had an awful lid that dribbled, did not fit well, and so had sealing problems too. This lid is far better and is sized perfectly that its usable on both. On sale for £5.16: absolute steal.

I do like this cup and use it almost every day but there are a few problems with the description. First, as you can see from the picture, while it says you can put it in the dishwasher, don't expect it to remain the same colour. Mine used to be blue - it looks ok as a steel cup (I would have bought it like that) but it looked pretty scruffy as the blue gradually peeled away. And the coating can end up on other stuff in the dishwasher. Second, I never, ever travel with it using the lid. It simply isn't leak proof - not even close, so bad in fact that I think it's misleading to say, "it allows safe drinking without spilling". The lid can very easily drip liquid on you and I never have the lid on when drinking. It keeps your drink pretty hot without it anyway. To be fair, my wife's chilly mug also leaks but it survived the dishwasher a lot better

I've been using the Contigo Streeterville desk mug for a couple of weeks now, mostly at my desk and around the house. I pour my coffee in around 8 am, and it's still comfortably hot around noon so it easily holds heat for 4–5 hours. That matches what other reviews have reported about its vacuum insulation keeping drinks hot for hours and cold even longer. The stainless steel handle feels sturdy and makes sipping easier. The base has a rubberized grip that prevents sliding which is a nice touch. The lid isn’t completely leak proof and tilting it can cause a leak, but it’s splash proof at least but this should not be an issuse if used as a desk/office mug as intended. It is all dishwasher safe, so it's low maintenance. And the slider which slides over the sip hole can be removed for easy cleaning. I’ve had no staining issues yet, though I take care to rinse it fairly quickly after use. It holds a good amount, (420 ml), and fits nicely under my single-serve coffee maker which is perfect for refills. That said, it's too wide for a standard car cup holders, so it’s not great if you plan to commute with it. It’s a reliable desk mug. Keeps beverages at a good sipping temp for hours, feels solid, and is easy to clean. Not perfect for travel and can leak if tilted too much but for stationary use, especially at home or in the office (As designed for), it’s spot on.

I bought this mug because I own a number of other Contigo items, and they have all been top quality. I have been using their "West Loop Autoseal" travel mugs for several years now, and while they're pretty efficient at keeping things hot or cold, and are utterly un-spillable, their lids are a bit of a fiddle to keep clean, on account of the levers and springs that make the sipping mouthpiece leak proof. I thought this mug might be a more efficient item for day-to-day indoor coffee drinking, and have not been disappointed. Drinks stay warmer longer than they would in china or ceramic mug, even without the lid on. The lid itself is a simple enough affair, and the sliding closure piece is easily removed for more thorough cleaning. The rubberised base protects your surfaces without the need for coasters, and stops the mug from sliding about (whether this makes it easier to tip over remains to be proven). Overall, the construction seems really sturdy, like last-a-lifetime sort of sturdy. You won't dent this easily, and it seems unlikely to break. I bought the white (salt) coloured one, which isn't terribly inspiring, but it'll be easy enough to zhoosh it up a bit with a sticker or two, and it was a couple of quid cheaper than the other colours available (tip: shop around for Contigo stuff, as the prices for the same item can vary greatly dependant on colour and/or seller). Delighted. I think I'll be using this as my main mug for many years to come, short of something apocalyptically unlikely happening to it - it'll probably outlive me! XD

Haven't used the mug but looks superb....very strong mug and more capacity than the average cup....would recommend

Superbe mug avec une très bonne isolation. Je dois généralement attendre assez longtemps pour pouvoir boire mon the :))) La base large permet d'éviter de renverser son mug trop souvent. C'est d'ailleurs d'autant plus nécessaire que le bouchon n'est pas très étanche. L'autre problème avec le couvercle c'est qu'il est un peu difficile a enlever. Il ne se visse pas malheureusement. J'ai également remarque que la peinture pouvait s'effriter facilement surtout sous l'anse avec les bagues.

Tazza molto comoda e facile da pulire. Per tale motivo non emana i cattivi odori tipici delle bottiglie termiche. Nessuna perdita. Mantiene l'acqua fresca per molto tempo. La consiglio
