TOMAX 12-Inch 100 Tooth TCG Aluminum and Non-Ferrous Metal Saw Blade with 1-Inch Arbor

I've cut 1/4 inch aluminum with a 12in chop saw with this kind of blade (red brand from big box store) and keeping it clamped is a must to reduce noise and to make a clean, safe cut. Ripping it was a little more sketchy. Lots of noise and vibration. Clean cut but not as good as the chop saw. That may also be the bearings on a 20yld portable table saw. Worked fine, never bucked if I didn't keep the part square to the guard. Makes a huge mess which is typical. Part was cool. Used WD 40 as lube but probably didn't need it. Makes the chips stick to everything. Only needed to make 8 cuts so can't attest to longevity. My truck bed slide is almost done so I doubt I'll ever use it again to find out how long it lasts. Worth it for the few times I'll need it. Now for the welding. FYI, tig welding doesn't work well outside in a breeze if you don't have much experience. The arc follows the gas. Gas blows all over. Need a tent to finish this off

Excellent cutting with 6061 aluminum. Most highly recommended.

I was trying to cut a 1/4" thick plate of 6061-T6 aluminum with a hand held jigsaw. I made one 12" cut that took way to long and left an uneven, rough edge that took twice more the time to sand smooth. I had 8 more cuts to make, so I started looking for something better. There were several blades to choose from, but I chose this one based on customer reviews and price. It paid for itself on the first cut! Smooth cut, razor sharp edges without burrs, All I had to do was run a mill file along the sharp edges. I was elated! This blade did whine a bit as other reviewers commented, but it runs true without circular or lateral run-out. I don't know if it's the number of teeth or because there is no offset or fleam. Every other tooth has chamfered corners while the rest don't. Hint: run a strip of aluminum Tap Magic along the cut line and go real slow with the blade low. Be sure to wear a mask and safety goggles because the chips are super fine and become airborne. I can't comment on longevity, but so far the teeth are like new and with the Tap Magic there's no sign of aluminum build-up on them.

Purchased this 12 inch saw blade to mount on Dewalt 12 inch chop saw. Need to shorten a by pass door track fit in a doorway. Made sure the teeth of the blade were mounted in the correct orientation. Also made sure that the track was secured to the chop saw table while cutting.....very important. Started the saw and slowly cut through the aluminum extrusion. No problem. Cut was smooth and I was very pleased with result. Will need to cut through several other tracks in the near future. I don't plan on using this blade in a production unit, or for an extended period of time, but for the tasks that I needed to get done, this blade did what I need for it to do. Well worth the money.

I put this blade on a miter saw because i had a half inch aluminum bar stock i needed to cut. It made easy work of the cut and left nice edges with no roughness.

I used this to cut aluminum baseboard approximately 1/8" thick. The blade was definitely up to the job even on angle cuts. There was absolutely no tearing or catching. It was like cutting through butter.

Used to cut aluminum railings and it cut easily and very clean cuts. Would definitely recommend this product.

I waited a few months to make this review just to be sure. In the meantime, I did cut extruded aluminium moldings with this blade and it made a perfect job. Of course you need to secure the material on the tablesaw because it's not like cutting wood and I don't have professional or industrial tools. So I fabricated a guide with mdf to slide the extrusion perfectly flat on the table. It's essential that your material does not bob or jiggle in any way in order to do a perfect cut. Also it can be very dangerous otherwise. And be prepared for A LOT of "aluminum filings" that fly everywhere.

I hadn't realized how dull my old blade was until I put this one on. Silky smooth cuts on shedule 40 aluminum pipe.
