OX Pro Dual Auto Lock Tape Twinpack - 5m / 16ft

Very pleased with this OX Pro Dual Auto Lock Tape twin pack. Both tapes feel solid and well made, with a sturdy casing that can handle being knocked about on site. The auto-lock feature works smoothly and makes measuring much easier, especially when working on your own. The blade markings are clear and easy to read, and the standout is decent for everyday jobs. Retraction is strong without being aggressive, and they feel reliable in the hand. For a twin pack, the price is very good and represents excellent value for money. You’re getting two quality tapes for what you’d often pay for one. Overall, a great buy and I’d happily recommend them.

Great value tape measure. Used to spend a fortune on tapes that I would break or lose regularly. These are up to 6 times cheaper and comparable in quality. Ergonomics and control are very good with the tape release button very functional and easy to use. Wont last forever but does the job, Will be buying again.

The product it’s self is good. We use it for scaffolding however once the muck and grit gets on the tape it stops retracting which is the same as any other tape I have used. Now if there was a tape with a self cleaning method that would be amazing. The tape is good the speed of delivery was good the driver delivering it was rubbish he didn’t even leave his van and threw the package at my door it sounded like someone kicking my door in. At least the parcel was not glass I guess. The product itself self is 5star however Amazon delivered is about 2star as they get it to you in a fashion

I decided to give it a couple of weeks before leaving a review on these so I could properly use & test them out “real world.” I don’t generally leave reviews unless the product is utter rubbish or far better than expected at the price point. So here we are….. So my old faithful tape measure gave up the ghost after about 25 yrs of DIY use. Well a bit more than just DIY but not a tradesman as such. Blimey these things can cost an arm & a leg so being the penny pinching old duffer I am now I found these. 2 tape measures for £12!! That’s not a bad price for one let alone two! Having to down tools for a couple of days was really frustrating until they arrived as I didn’t have a spare tape measure (muppet!) & couldn’t do much. NOT a criticism of Amazon just a frustrated reality check. 1st impressions are pretty good. The thumb activated lock is a little stiff at first but I’m sure I’ll either loosen it up in time or learn how to use it properly. What I found really interesting is that with the thumb lock off & just sat at rest the tape measure just moves in & out with a slight subtle restriction & interesting “whirring” noise & doesn’t snap back unless you apply thumb pressure. It holds without having to lock it. I know I know this sounds like a weird feature to comment on but it means you’re not always trying to pin the thing down as it desperately tries to head west all the time. It took me a few uses to get the hang of it & wow what a brilliant feature. Not come across it before & really pleasing to use. It does put you in control rather than fighting the wriggling conger eel tape that just wants to whizz back at warp speed into the case while you juggle a spirit level tape measure & pencil all at once. It’s tactile, rubber grips keep it securely in your hand & feels good quality. When playing “walkie talkie” 5yr old mode to see how long you can extend the tape before it collapses & win the contest of the longest “aerial” it wins hands down. Oops yes I’ve already dropped it several times & it comes out totally unbothered ready to use again. I actually can’t find a negative or even a “yeah but….” It just does it & far exceeds my expectations. The very fact you get two of them & they’re bright enough coloured to actually find it when you turn around seven times like a loon trying to work out where you left it. I haven’t actually tried clipping it to my belt or pocket but the spring clip is pretty standard stuff & im sure it would work perfectly. Am I impressed? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes.

Really good quality tape measure but I find the lock a bit annoying. It locks very easily, often by accident and is difficult to unlock . Maybe it's because I'm left handed, I end up using my right hand to unlock it.

Good quality tapes and good value for money. I think this is pretty much the same with Ox products. I use and would recommend these and most of their products for the trade.

De momento todo parece ir bien aunque la cinta se recoge demasiado rápido y no se si con el tiempo se rompera.

Queria una cinta metrica de un buen tamaño y de calidad y esta lo es, y ademas ofrecía las medidas en centímetros y pulgadas, y también la conseguí por un buen precio, sin necesidad de pagar solo por el nombre de marcas más conocidas y no por ello mejores

Benutze das Teil auf Arbeit (Verkauf Möbel) und bin maßlos :) zufrieden. Das Teil ist schnell gezückt, hängt am Gürtel und misst zuverlässig. Besser als das olle Zollstockaufgeklappe. Daumen hoch!
