Spigen Tough Armor Designed for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Case (2017) - Black

I need to preface this review by stating I love Spigen products. I buy all my cases from them. That being said I will be as honest as I can with this review. EDIT: Up to five stars. I've owned this case for almost 3 months now and the one dislike I had about it went away. The case is always snug and always protecting my phone. Perfection! Color/looks: I got the black one and I don't regret it! The tough armor is looking sharper than ever! I seriously am in love with the way this case looks. Features/feel : two piece design feels great, the materials don't contrast a whole lot in color or feel. The textured bixby button is going to help a lot. I LOVE the charger and headphone Cut outs. My test for a headphone jack cut out is one of those green, PC 3.5mm Jacks that seem pretty ubiquitous. It fits in the case (I use one often) so it gets a pass. The kickstand is back and its really the feature i get this case for. It works in 2 ways depending on how you set your phone and both angles are exactly what you need. There's a lip on the top and bottom of the case that should help keep the screen off flat surfaces. Another feature i look for in a case. Didn't like: now this is a really small complaint, but still the reason I give 4 stars. The case seems to settle in different places when you squeeze it. It's like the phone moves around a little in the case. You can push up and down the left and right sides of the case and it will snug up to the phone. It's like it's not 100% snug in the case. My note 4 tough armor didn't have this issue as it felt 100% secure. Now this could be because of the edge screen, but the problem is felt on the back when pushing it down too. Not good for someone with fidgety anxiety like me. Conclusion: I'd give this a 95% grade. I love Spigen, and they really knocked it out of the park. Even though I had a small knit to pick with this case, I'd still recommend it 10/10 times and even buy it again.

Great case for protecting for the Note 8. This case does not add that much more bulk which I like. Holding the phone it still feels slim. The opened cut out areas allows access to all the ports, mic, and speaker and does not interfere. The S Pen is still easy to get to when you need to use it. The pros: 1. Good protection for a $900 phone. 2. The top has a slight lip to protect the screen if you need to face it down. 3. The plastic and rubber feels quality and hopefully should last a long time. Also this is a 2 piece cover. You get the hard rubber to protect the phone and sides. The second piece is hard plastic and acts like a shell to protect the back and sides of the phone. The hard plastic back is nice feature for the guys as it doesn't stick to you pockets like the other rubbery cases and helps taking out the phone easier. 4. The button for the volume and power is flush. I love this as you no longer will accidentally hit the button by mistake. I had this issue with a similar phone case my my old Note 3. 5. Protects the rear camera are. The cons: 1. I got the black tough armor phone case and the black hard plastic shows my finger print marks and I don't really have oily fingers. The pastic has somewhat of a matte look and my finger prints will give it a shiny oily look. I'm not a big fan of this as it makes it look like I was eating greasy food with my finger and using the phone. 2. The kickstand is nice, but it's plastic with no metal reinforcement. Not sure how long it will last with the way in use my phones, but we'll see. The good thing is the kick stand will snap into place to lock and prevent it from accidentally opening and getting damaged when using the phone. Also the kickstand is not spring loaded to keep it open when you need to use the kickstand requiring you to use 2 hands to use the kickstand. If not the kick stand can close and the phone will fall. 3. The S Pen area doesn't seem to have much protection. I think I read somewhere where another person dinged up that area in a drop. I wished there was more protection near the S Pen area, but maybe that's just part of the design to help make it easier to access the S Pen. Besides some minor issues I would buy again if I need another case. The protection is good and doesn't add much bulk. Also it seems to be well thought out and properly executed to protect the Note 8 Phone. If Spigen is coming put with a V2 with better protection near the S Pen area remember me please :) Giving this phone case 5 stars for the well thought out design and protection.

For the last three years, I've had a Galaxy Note 4 with a Spigen case and never had a broken phone after a drop. So when I finally upgraded my phone to the Galaxy Note 8, I went right back to a Spigen case. This case fits snuggly on the Note 8 but isn't difficult to put on. The cut outs are perfect and you can easily access any ports or the stylus. It feels solid and I have no doubt it can absorb a hit or fall. I was concerned with the curved shape of the Note 8 screen than a fall straight on the face could present a problem. While the sides curve with the screen, the top and bottom stick out just enough to take the hit instead of the screen directly. While the case is solid, it's not too big. My problem with a lot of cases out there (especially on phablets) is they're huge and make a large phone even bulkier. This case is strong but keeps things slim enough not to over-crowd your pockets. My only problem with my Note 4 case was the kickstand was a little flimsy and eventually broke. Spigen has addressed that and the new Note 8 case has a sturdier kickstand. By the way, I think the kickstand is a great feature. While I don't use it regularly, it's handy when I want to sit back and a desk or table and watch something at a good angle. If you've spent all that money on a Note 8 but want a solid, affordable case, I highly suggest this product.

Questa cover della Spigen mi ha, come già accaduto con i precedenti telefoni, soddisfatto molto. Calza perfettamente con il telefono e si presta benissimo alla pellicola Neoflex della Spigen per Note 8. Le nuove Tough Armor, non ingrossano il telefono e lo stand posteriore è in tinta con la scocca! (un vero colpo di classe) La consiglio a tutti quelli che vogliono proteggere il proprio smartphone senza rinunciare all'eleganza Aggiornamento 06/12/2017 Oggi mi è caduto a causa di una disattenzione il note 8 a terra dalla parte dello schermo e....grazie a questa magnifica cover non si è fatto nemmeno un graffio poiché ha i bordi rialzati che prevengono la rottura del display. Questa cover vale ogni centesimo. P.s. è compatibile con la ricarica wireless

I ordered 5 different cases for my new galaxy note 8 in a frustrating attempt to get a case I was as happy with as I was with my note 8. This was the best one in my opinion. Below I will detail my observations one month later. It does as a bit of bulk, however still looks very good considering the added bulk. Of course the bulk seemslike it would offer significant protection in case of a drop (touch wood) and therefore peace of mind. The cutouts are great, easy access to spend. The bumper protection is brilliant and has protected me from many accidental clashes with bedposts etc... The added width also seems to enhance the note 8s grip and feel in the hand, forcing a tighter grip in the palm. The surface is also more grippy than most cases. Overall the edge shape, dimensions and material of the case make it ergonomically the best case I've personally tried in regards to manipulating and gripping the note 8. I actually much prefer holding the phone with the case than without. The case is also perfectly snug, Hugging the top and bottom of the note 8 perfectly, and hugging the edge just enough to offer good protection against nicks against objects and let the phone roll forward incase of a drop, but not so much to take away from edge looks or functionality. The top/bottom also offers a good level of front screen drop protection Vs relativley even surfaces. This is important particularly if like me you are not using a screen protector. It also lets you rest the phone face down with confidence. This feels safer to me than leaving the screen facing upwards. The kickstand is also great. It is offset and allows two different viewing angles, making it better than the kickstand on the Samsung rugged or clear view, both of which were too forward inclines. This lets you place it further away or view closer to eye even, or look down at a desk nearby you. I can't tell you how useful this is. The buttons are a bit ridgid and it would have been nice to have them a little easier to press. however on that note (get it, note?) the bixby button is textured, making it easy to distinguish. Again very subtle yet useful if you use bixby as much as I do. Even if you don't use bixby this is absolute gold for distinguishing the volume keys from bixby and from each other. All in all for the price you pay this is an absolute must are unlikely to find better. It looks great, offers great all round protection without making unnecessary sacrifices, and adds considerable functionality to compliment a brilliant phone. Spigen really hit the nail on the head with this design. I would have easily paid double without a moment's hestistion. Would have happily paid triple if it had a vertical kickstand. Tried many others but always kept returning to this one. This product is the reason 5 stars exist.

Unisce funzionalità ed estetica: davvero efficace nel proteggere lo smartphone dagli urti, calza perfettamente al mio note 8 e garantisce una bella presa in mano, il piedino è comodo e non da segni di cedimento - bello anche esteticamente. Le cover Spigen non sono una novità per me, si confermano ottimi prodotti
