Berkeley Mens Backpack TNF Black/Mineral Gold

I purchased this for my 4.5 year old daughter to use for school. I wanted a separate flat compartment for papers (she has homework this year); a large compartment for her lunchbox, sweatshirt, etc.; at least one small compartment for miscellaneous treasures; and a water bottle pocket that was not mesh (the mesh always tears). It was impossible to find a kid's backpack with a separate compartment where her papers wouldn't get smashed when she crammed other things into her backpack. And this was the smallest backpack I could find anywhere that met my criteria. It's really well made, has not gotten dirty despite the light-colored fabric and bottom, and actually fits her fine (although she's big for her age). It would be a fine size for an adult too--I like it so much I would use it myself!

High quality, great color, a good size for a day out which is what I was looking for.

I’ve been looking for a backpack for commuting to work and travel. My requirements were that it holds my mammoth laptop (17in. brick for my type of work) which I know it says it will hold a 16” but I was hoping! I also really wanted 2 water bottle pockets, a luggage pass through (which the Berkeley doesn’t have); and also that it stands up on its own so it’s not a pain to load and unload. It does! My other requirements seemed to be the most difficult, I didn’t want it to be too outdoorsy and the color had to be black or somewhat neutral, and lastly cost $100ish or less. I love the look of the Berkeley it comes in black and the price is perfect, the luggage pass through I can live without but my laptop only fits in the main compartment making it cumbersome to access other things. It would be a great travel backpack with my personal laptop. The main compartment would be plenty big for all the in flight necessities. It’s comfortable on my petite frame and doesn’t look like a child’s backpack or I’m getting ready to go on a hike! The quality looks like typical North Face - totally wished the laptop sleeve was like an inch wider! 5 stars because it is (almost) perfect!

I’ve been a big fan of The North Face product line for years. Their jackets and coats hold up beautifully and really stand the test of time. Well, this adorable little backpack is no exception. It’s stylish and very well made, plus it holds a shockingly large number of items while still being light enough to easily and comfortably carry. (I have a 4 level 360 lumbar fusion and I can’t carry much weight, 5-10lbs max.) I bought this bag for a recent Alaskan Cruise and it was perfect. I was able to fit my entire medium sized purse inside, along with my Nintendo switch, a paperback book, a light jacket, my water bottle and quite a few snacks. This is now my go to travel backpack for every occasion. If you are on the fence, buy it! You won’t be disappointed.

This backpack is made with good quality, I would give it 5 stars but it’s smaller than regular backpacks. I was expecting it to be a normal sized backpack but it’s little & it is hard to fit stuff in the front pocket. It is still a really nice backpack if you’re looking for a smaller sized one. It is not a mini backpack though.

Perfect for work. My husband was using a leather shoulder bag that he hated. He wanted a backpack but nothing looked dressy enough. I convinced him that this was the move and I was right. The color is amazing.

I love this backpack so much! I use it for school and it is perfect. It fits my laptop perfectly. It is very roomy. Such a simple and basic design which I love. It is also very light and has held up very well in terms of durability.

I ordered 2 of these as personal items for me and my husband on an international trip. We both really enjoy these backpacks, and now mine is used as a daily use diaper bag/ daypack. I keep my kids water bottles in the side pockets. Warning: ater bottles will fall out if you bend over while wearing the backpack! I read a review that says it's too small. In my opinion, that's the point of this bag. Simple, well constructed, and small enough to fit under the airplane seat but can still hold what you need when thoughtfully packed. I do wish it had a Keychain leash but can't win em all, especially at this price. I love mine.

Simple and elegant design!

Small enough to manage all day, but holds a lot of stuff! The fabric is great and it's stylish. Comfortable straps, stiff back that holds its shape and adjustable.

Small backpack, but fits alot more than you'd expect. Good quality and seems to be good. If I have any issues over time I will update this. Recommended
