Now that I have used both the dropper and the airless pump I can leave a more thorough review. I noticed results with the dropper very quicky, I would say the first uses. My skin looks brighter and with less hyperpigmentation. The product itself aborbs quickly and it doesn't disrupt my makeup. My complaint with the dropper is that the product oxidized quicker than the airless pump. With the airless pump I have noticed more visible results, my skin is glowing, it looks brighter, just beautiful. I assume it's because the product does not oxidize like with the dropper. That being said, the airless pump is annoying, it squirts product all over and it gets messy. But overall, I much prefer having to deal with the messy pump and have better results.

This is very strong at 20% and should only be used if you know what you’re doing. A weak skin barrier or mixing it with the wrong chemicals in your moisturizer will have terrible side effects like burning, itching, and peeling. As far as Vit-C serums go with CE Ferulic, it’s great. I’ve tried a lot of brands including Prequel and Timeless. This is better by a long shot. The consistency is light and a little like oil like the others, but absorbs fast on your skin. I loved the effects of Timeless, but my face always felt like an oil slick when I put it on and it took a little long to absorb before I could put anything else on top. This is quick and keeps my morning moving while I’m getting ready for work. Just like all of them, there’s a light hotdog water smell until it dries, but it doesn’t linger. The airless pump makes such a difference over the dropper bottles. I feel like the product stays fresh, won’t oxidize as fast, and isn’t being contaminated. Even still, I keep it in a cabinet to keep it away from light. I saw some reviews to buy direct from Dr Brenner, but I had no issues from Amazon being the seller on this purchase. Save your money on SkinCeuticals and give this a try first.

Love this vitamin c. Makes my skin glow after I use it. Not a fan of the bottle. The serum is very runny and when you put down it can squirt everywhere. Still a great product

*update* I am now happy this isnt Prime anymore. I tried a couple other serums with similar ingredients after this was no longer available for subscribe and save and they were awful. The other products I tried to replace this with were sticky and scented. Just terrible formulas imo. I ended up ordering Dr. Brenners again regardless of the non Prime status because I now knew this serum is superior. Ive ordered twice now where the item is shipping from what I assume is the Dr. Brenners warehouse vs an Amazon warehouse and the its obvious the formula is fresher than it was when it was on Prime. Now its always very clear and it feels more "activated" when applying. Dr. Brenners warehouse also ships it nicely wrapped in tissue paper and it feels like I am recieving a quality well packaged item. Sometimes the serum when it shipped Prime had already started to oxidize before Id even opened the bottle. As a side note, I used to use another vitamin c serum from Pauals Choice at triple the price as this serum is and Dr. Brenners is still better. This is one of the 1st and few face products Ive used where I could visibly see a difference in my skin and knew that my skin looked better as a direct result of this one product. I recommended this to a friend of mine and she noted the same thing. I love this serum and had it on subscribe and save. Im soooo sad its no longer Prime. Ugh. I've tried another brand to replace this one and there's no comparison. I used this one for about a year and my skin was noticeably brighter. Its frangrance free. I love the thin consistency. The Chemist Confession skincare chicks recommended it for the vitamin c being more stable than other comparable products. I found that to be true. It did turn sometimes before it ran out but it worked and I love it. Bring it back on Prime please!!!

I’ve been using this for about two years now. 5 stars as far as performance. Loved it…but hate the new packaging. I will always choose glass over plastic in anything I purchase. I go through this stuff so fast, it doesn’t have a chance to degrade. Please bring back the glass bottle.

This is a great cost-effective Vitamin C Serum! Its water based, which is the most effective way to use Vitamin C for your skin (even though its more volatile). It's best used in the morning because one of its benefits is neutralizing free radicals from the sun to prevent signs of aging. Don't use this product in the same routine as glycolic acid (or other AHAs), retinol, or (if i remember correctly) niacinimide. Make sure your face and hands are dry when you apply this product (dont mix it with oil or water). Make sure you use a moisturizer since this product can be drying. Wait for it to dry completely before applying a moisturizer or any other serum, especially if you are applying makeup after since it seems to have a tendency to get too thick and theb rub off if you apply other products before its completely dry or you apply too much. DO NOT USE AFTER THE PRODUCT TURNS YELLOW! It should be clear when you receive it. If its not clear when you receive it, make sure you return it. I've used this brand for a long time now, and mine has always come in clear. IT WILL EVENTUALLY TURN YELLOW. WHEN IT DOES, STOP USING IT. To keep it from turning yellow sooner, limit exposure to air and light. Now that I am almost done with my bottle it's starting to turn yellow. Once it turns yellow, the vitamin C has been neutralized and it no longer has any real benefits for your skin. Vitamin C isn't for moisture so I'm not sure why that was a review option.

This Vitamin C serum has been a favorite of mine for years, but the company recently changed (and reduced the quality of) the container for the serum. The original packaging was a dark glass bottle with a dropper, and now it is a cheap plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The new design has functionally ruined the experience of using the product and had compromised the serum itself. The pump catches as you press it, both spraying product in every direction and dribbling it out onto the dispenser, meaning that you have to scrape the product off the container and whatever other surface it splashes onto. You have very little control over how much serum you get with each pump, so you end up wasting quite a bit with each use. Further, the seam between the bottle and the pump is not sealed, which means that the product leaks out and pools into the cap AND that the product oxidizes rapidly. I've been using this bottle for two weeks and the serum has already become dark yellow and inert. The original glass bottle gave you full control over how much product you used, how well the bottle was sealed, and you could see exactly how much serum was left in the bottle so that none went to waste. Glass is also more environmentally sustainable and the bottle could be repurposed after the serum was finished. This new plastic bottle quite simply sucks in comparison, and is such a downgrade that I'll be switching to a different brand.

This is fairly a good brand which is why this is my second bottle. I love the consistency and the texture when applied to my face. It doesn't sting even around my eyes and lips and doesn't pill with the Sunscreen i am using. Really happy with the feeling. However, i do not see any significant lightening of the acne marks and sun damaged parts of my face. I guess it will work overtime. Let us see.
