โ โ โ โ โ I Strapped My Puppy to My Chest and We Became a Two-Headed Legend
Let me explain what you're looking at if you see me in public: I am not a man wearing a dog. I am a man who has merged with a dog. We are one organism now. Two heads, six legs, one heartbeat, and a shared interest in whatever that smell is behind the Chick-fil-A. Scientists have been notified. They've asked me to stop calling them. My 7-month-old puppy (yes, the one who now manages my retirement portfolio) was skeptical at first. I held up the grey XL carrier, and he looked at it the way a cat looks at a bathtub. Then I clicked in the buckles, tightened the padded straps, and let his four little legs dangle out the front. He went completely still. His ears perked up. His eyes widened. And then he let out a single, soft "boof" that roughly translated to, "I am a king, and you are my throne." He's refused to walk on his own ever since. Why would he? He's upgraded to first class. The "Legs Out" design is truly a stroke of genius. When I walk, his front paws swing freely like a tiny furry superhero flying through the sky. When I jog, they flap in rhythm like he's conducting an orchestra. When I ride my bike, his little legs stretch forward in the breeze, and I swear to you we lifted off the ground once while passing in front of a full moon. A kid in a red hoodie saw us from his yard, dropped his bag of candy, and screamed. I'm pretty sure he's making a movie about it. The social effects are staggering. Before this carrier, I was an average guy walking around the neighborhood. Now, I can't make it ten feet without being stopped. Grandmothers weep. Toddlers wave. Grown men in construction vests approach and say, "Can I pet your son?" and I say "Yes," because at this point he is my son. Women I've never met ask for his name, then ask for mine, then ask for his again, because honestly, they weren't there for me. I've been approached by three dog-influencer talent agents, a local news anchor, and an alarmingly intense woman who runs a doggy yoga studio called "Namastay." Taking him on a hike was a spiritual experience. I did all the climbing, sweating, and heavy breathing. He sat on my chest like a tiny general surveying the battlefield, occasionally licking my chin in approval. At the summit, I held him out toward the valley like that famous lion cub scene. The sun broke through the clouds. A hawk circled overhead, saluting. A group of hikers dropped to their knees. My puppy sneezed. It was the most majestic sneeze in recorded history. Side effects may include: Becoming the most approachable human being within a five-mile radius Being mistaken for a kangaroo by a very confused tourist Your dog developing a superiority complex and looking down on other dogs who have to "walk" Trail snacks mysteriously disappearing since your puppy's face is now level with your granola bar Strangers asking "Is it a boy or a girl?" and you answering, "He's a financial advisor" One important note: the product description says "Hands Free." That is technically true. I no longer need my hands to carry him. What they don't tell you is that my hands are now permanently occupied by giving belly scratches, handing out treats, and holding my phone to take 400 selfies a day. Hands-free in theory. Hands-full in reality. No regrets. To any fellow dog parent considering this purchase, I leave you with the words my puppy whispered into my ear on our last walk: "boof." I don't know exactly what it means. But I know it means yes. Buy the carrier. Become the throne. Let their little legs fly free.

"Finally, it happened to me..." Grateful for this Excellent Dog Pack Carrier!
Quoting a song there to be funny. Seriously though: FINALLY ! Like many animals who are not crate-trained from birth, my dog has zero want to be in any type of small transporting enclosure. Unfortunately, she is old now and cannot walk long distances, so I need to be able to move her quickly, further and faster. There are a lot of places she can still enjoy, like the beach, but she just can't do the whole trek anymore from the car across the sand dunes. I have been unable to get her into any kind of carrier. Carrying her without support is getting too heavy and difficult for me. When the answer to all my problems, this PetBonus dog backpack arrived, I was able to easily use it, put it on my dog like a harness, and pick her up like a baby to carry as a front pack. She tried to escape at first, but then quickly became calm and cozy. Her body felt at ease. Moving forward, I know she will love this, for all the places she can now go again. For me, it is so much easier and lighter to carry her with the padded back support. This is so amazing and very well designed and made! I got a size Large for a 19 pound dog that measures 24 inches around the her chest and 20 inches neck base to tail start. It fits her and me perfectly on the tight small setting. You can easily expand 5 more inches of chest and dog length. I am extremely grateful for this product that will enable me and my senior dog to enjoy her last days together in fabulous places. Many thanks!

Good Deal for the price.
I ordered this for my 32 lb Boston Terrier. I went by the weight recommendation listed and the fact that the back length recommendation was for a Large. TO be safe, I went with the bigger size, worried weight would be a big factor as far as stitching/durability. The overall carrier is great and would suffice nicely. The straps that secure her wrap around her body and over her shoulders, then snap at her lower abdomen. Because of that, the over-the-shoulder straps were too long, and her head kept popping out of the side of the shoulder harness. I do not believe this harness would accomodate a much longer dog, like a husky/ rotty or golden, unless they were puppy/adolescent. Also, because it is front carry, it will take a toll on your back, even with the waist and upper back harness.

Descriptions need to be corrected for each size.
Update: reordered this in Large. Not sure if it would work for a 35lb dog as it states in the description for all of the sizes, but it does work perfect for my 22lb Corgi. One of the shoulder straps slipped out when I stood up with with her. Hope that's not going to be a regular issue, but I can probably fix that easily if it is. One design improvement I would suggest is to put the latch of the waste strap on the side where it is easier to reach and maybe something similar with the strap that keeps the straps together higher up on the back so that it doesn't take 2 people to put this on. Overall, if you'd just change the descriptions for each of the sizes so that they are accurate for each size, then I would give 5 stars. The item seams great and well made. The problem is in the item descriptions under each size.....small, medium, large and extra large all state for digs up to 35 lbs. I ordered the medium because my dog (Corgi, 22lbs) is considered a medium sized dog and most things we get for her that work best are medium. The medium is about 8 ir 10 inches too short for her. Sending this one back and will order a large. I'll update once it arrives and try it on her.

Finaly a bag that fits him and does not hurt my shoulders.
It gets costly trying different products and nothing ever fits correct or is secure enough for what I need. I had to go through 2 sizes of these and numerous other brands. Using the front bag vs the backpacks has been a game changer, now with him being able to rest his feet on the tank and lay his head on my arm it makes the ride so much more comfortable for both of us. I do wish they would redesign the strap on the back. It is very difficult to do on your own, so if you doing it on your own you will need to be flexible enough to reach it or the pack will slide off with movement. The buckles also need a redesign, when pulling to tighten if you are not straight on it will tangle and flip over because of the big opening. Worth the purchase, he loves it and will just lay on top of it waiting to get loaded in.

Easy to use, my boy loves it
Absolutely LOVE this. I have a senior mini schnauzer who canโt quite tackle longer hikes like he used to, and he loves riding in this thing lol. Heโs 24 lbs and this carrier distributes the weight very evenly so weโre both comfortable. Itโs held up really well over the last year too. Fits just like a backpack and super easy to get your dog into it as well.

Perfect for Larger Dogs Who Love to Be Close
This carrier has worked out perfectly for my son-in-law and their 40 lb dog. We werenโt sure how comfortable or supportive it would be for a larger dog, but it has been surprisingly sturdy and secure. The adjustable straps help get a good fit, and the dog seems very comfortable being carried while still feeling safe and close. Itโs great for outings, crowded places, or times when a dog may need a break from walking. Overall, very impressed with the quality and support for a bigger dog.โ

Perfect for my dog
Bought this for my frenchie, we take him on lots of hiking but sometimes the terrain can be tough or we have to walk ledges so we use the backpack, it is comfy for him and for us to wear

Perfect dog carrier
I love this backpack! It'll be so much easier taking my dog through train stations now. I bought a medium size first as per size guide but it was too small, returned that and ordered large for my 11kg lhasa apso. Great fit and so comfy for both of us. My dog has allergies and bites his legs a lot and this backpack didn't rub on the sores at all.
