I am a full time level 3 computer and network technician and have over 20 years in installation and setup of A/V equipment. I am also the technology director at my church wwith the multiple cameras, computers, recorders and so on. Setup of the cameras and the DVR were pretty simple even though instructions and documentation are very sparse. Once I turned on the DVR I had pictures of the cameras and the day and nighttime quality are good, and that is where the good ends. The software side of this is terrible and I have spent many hours trying to get everything configured to record and alarm when the cameras sensed motion but have not been able to do so. I am very familiar with many other products software setup from Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, Harmony remotes, Windows 3.1 through Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 and custom software that my company writes and I am still having a horrible time trying to get this software setup. There is no logical flow to the software and it takes ten times as long to get to different parts of the menu than it should. I hope they go back and redesign the software and menus because it is currently not acceptable. My rating of 3 stars was based on 4 stars for the hardware and 2 stars for the software. Unless you like being frustrated by poorly designed software you will want to buy something else. I paid a lot of money for this equipment and it lasted less than a year. The DVR continues working because I can see the cameras on my phone, but the HDMI output does not work, the VGA output does not work. I spent a lot of money on cables. What am I supposed to do now? to buy RCA cables, so that they stop working in 1 month? I spent $ 324.00 dollars, I can not understand how you can buy such expensive equipment to work only 10 months. I’m really disappointment about it.

I’m really disappointment about it

So I am actually worse off now than I was when I had the ...
I will upgrade this review if I can get the damned thing to work. I set it up in place of a Zmodo which would not record. I set the password, then it would not accept the password I set up and locked me out. I have no way of knowing if this thing is going to record or not, and I can't find any documentation on the admin or master password. So I am actually worse off now than I was when I had the Zmodo hooked up.

Missing parts had to return only came with 3 cameras and 3 harnesses.
