Can this be used for potable water?

It possibly could be used for potable water, but I'd prefer using a food grade funnel instead, since this funnel is not designed for that purpose. This funnel is designed for oil products and fuel, and at the very least, I'd recommend cleaning it with dish soap and boiling water first. Food grade funnels are very inexpensive. Why take the chance?

can this be used to pour gasoline into chevy c10 pickup truck?

I only use it for oil, but I don’t see why not for gas. It will take a while to fill up your pickup though.
