Perfect for "Heavy Chewers," lasts long, and has yet to come apart or tear up
I have several dogs, and they are what would be considered as "Heavy Chewers." They are truly awesome pets, and I consider them like my children. I started looking for toys that I wouldn't worry about if I didn't have line of sight for every minute. All dog toys, regardless of their size, type, weight, or if they're steel versus plastic material have a warning on the bottom of very label/package that states that the animal should never be left alone with the toy. With that said, I do not leave the toys unattended, even though this toy has paid it's weight in how well it has stood up to the constant chewing my dogs give it everytime I place it in their crates to prevent fights, or issues on the pack order. As far as the actual toy, it looks, feels, and even smells like a tire, but without any problems with the dogs accepting it to play with. The toy bounces like a ball, and the overall weight is heavy enough to ensure durability. Just like a tire, the toy is made of rubber, not plastic material. I have found that smearing small amounts of peanut butter in to the crevices of the tire rather than brand specific treats is just as effective, I will also freeze the peanut butter into the tire, and this also increases the length of time it takes for the dogs to consume. I ended up buying three more toys, mostly so all my dogs have one, and that I also have one as a spare. I would recommend this to any owner of a "Heavy Chewer" as the product is well made, and yet to have any defect or piece removed by any of my dogs, and they do chew on these toys extensively.

Tough and Long-Lasting Toy for Heavy Chewers
The KONG Extreme Tires are built for dogs who chew through just about everything else. Made from KONG’s most durable rubber, the toy is designed to stand up to strong jaws while also offering a fun shape that dogs enjoy rolling, chasing, and chewing. The tire design has grooves that can be stuffed with treats or peanut butter, which helps keep dogs engaged for longer play sessions. This toy is especially useful for large breeds or heavy chewers who usually destroy softer toys in minutes. While no toy is completely indestructible, the Extreme Tires hold up far better than most and provide both chewing satisfaction and mental stimulation. The size is hefty and best suited for medium to large dogs, and smaller breeds may find it too heavy. Pros: The rubber is extra durable, the tire shape adds variety and fun, and the grooves can be filled with treats for extra engagement. Cons: It may be too heavy for smaller dogs, strong chewers can still wear it down over time, and it isn’t designed to bounce or fly like other KONG toys. A rugged and reliable toy made for power chewers. The Extreme Tires provide long-lasting fun and double as a great option for treat-stuffing, making it one of KONG’s toughest and most useful toys.

Small means small
To small for 2 month German Shepherd. It was my bad for ordering a small. But I never saw product specs saying the actual size. Remember never buy a to small of toy for your puppy as it’s a choking hazard.

Totally indestructible
My daughter's lab kills any toy he gets. This was perfect! We accidentally left it in his kennel while out one day and it was still in perfect condition. Totally worth the money if you dog is a tyrant with toys!!

SAVE YOUR MONEY, THESE ARE UTTER GARBAGE UNLESS YOUR DOG HAS NO TEETH (MAYBE)!!
For all those purchasers who are posting videos of these toys while talking about how great they are and how long they have lasted at your house, would you mind disclosing the breed and age of your dog(s) that play with them? I only ask because I am finding these "positive" reviews REALLY hard to believe now that I have firsthand knowledge that, as a chew toy, this thing completely sucks. Based upon personal experience and the physical and photographic evidence, your dog might be an OBSESSIVE chewer, but they are most assuredly NOT a "power" chewer. If they were, you would almost certainly be posting reviews saying that this toy is utter crap, just like I'm having to do now. After many years of experience using Kong brand toys, the idea that this toy is the "most durable" Kong toy is just ridiculous, and blatant false advertising in my opinion. It took three of my dogs (a 5 year-old Boxer/Pit Bull mix (2nd pic) I'm fostering and two one year old border collie puppies) all of five minutes to completely shred FOUR of these toys straight out of the delivery box. I was the proud owner of four of these things for all of five frickin' minutes out of the box. Meanwhile, it previously took the Boxer/Pit almost two years to destroy two medium-sized Kong "snowman" shaped toys, and even then he wasn't able to shred them anywhere near to this degree. And believe me, he actually *IS* a true "power" chewer, as after raising and training dogs for over 50 years, I have never seen a dog completely break that type of Kong chew toy. As an aside, Kong (the company) appears to take crappy product claims only by means of printed hard copy sent via the U.S mail, so no immediate relief for your wasted expenditure on their products will soon be forthcoming. How many modern companies do you know of that don't allow some sort of online contact for product claims, even if it's just an email address? So I might very well have to reconsider whose products I am willing to spend my all-too hard earned money on. That said, those three dogs are all now outside throwing up chunks of these crappy toys that they swallowed while tearing them to pieces, and which I now find myself hoping really are non-toxic!! The regular "snowman" shaped Kong toys are MUCH more durable than these things are. Had I known that beforehand, I would have spent my money accordingly. The picture I posted is the last remaining toy out of the four I ordered, and I most certainly want my money back (wish me luck)!! This toy is a complete WASTE of your money for any dog that is bigger than an aged chihuahua or that actually has teeth, so I suggest that you DO NOT purchase.

The same magic as the extreme chewer Kong cone!
My lab hound mix LOVES this tire as much as he loves his extreme chewer Kong cones (we bought three of those!). He hasn't been able to cause any damage at all in the week or so that he's had it. We are always excited to find toys that he can't break! We're ordering a second tire for upstairs!

Definitely Durable!
My medium-size dog is a chewer. She likes to chew on soft things, or things with give, so she doesn't use this constantly, but she does use it. I don't have to do anything to encourage her, either -- she seeks it out on her own. I do rotate her toys so she doesn't get bored with anything (so I take this away for a week, then take it out for a week, etc.). The reason I think it's definitely durable is that she suffers from separation anxiety. I work from home so she's normally okay, but I do have leave sometimes! We're still trying to figure out how to best handle leaving her home alone. We've been leaving her in the bathroom (which is quite roomy). We take out the furniture and rugs, put in her cushions, different types of toys, and her water bowl, and set up soothing music for dogs on the laptop. The first time we did this, we also gave her a licking pad with peanut butter. It worked well, so we repeated the process again the next time we left, but she ended up totally chewing the licking pad to bits. So the next time, we put peanut butter inside this Kong tire instead, and it worked! She wasn't able to damage it at all! So she destroyed a Christmas decoration I forgot to remove from the bathroom instead :( Lol. We'll get there eventually!

It has outlasted several other toys for our hyper enthusiastic pittbull.

Muy resistente
Es uno de los pocos juguetes que consiguen aguantar a mi perra. También la usamos para untar alguna chucheria por la parte de dentro y que pueda estar entretenida un buen rato. 100% recomendado para perros que les gusten los juguetes de morder.

Right size n very durable for any big breed dogs.
My 10 month old dobby is very destructive when left alone at home. Kong tire keeps him occupied. Though price is on the higher side, consider it a one time buy instead of going through many toys n spending more.
