velveteen dream smoothing shampoo

I have thick curly color, treated hair and live in Florida. So you know that hair is going to be frizzy and out of control if I don’t use the right products. Some of the products I use, help a lot but they are also greasy so I have to wash my hair more often and I don’t like doing that. This was recommended to me by a random lady in a store when I was looking at shampoos. She claimed it was the best. I took the plunge and paid the money for it. It leaves your hair, nice and clean, and soft. It does not weigh your hair down. I don’t want to have a flathead a few minutes after I’ve styled my hair with the styling brush. With thick curly hair and styling products, that can happen very easily. As advised, I did not overdo it with the conditioner I used just a small amount and I let it sit in my hair for a couple minutes while I soaped up,did all the other stuff in the shower, and rinsed it with cold water. The scent is a clean scent and not overwhelming. It is 89° outside with humidity and my hair stayed very nice while I was out. I just hope that this gets a price break so I could stock up on it.

This shampoo is very high quality and hydrating. My water is very hard, so my hair was dry and unmanageable, this is the only shampoo that has managed to get it under control. It smells delicious and my hair is silky smooth. It is pricey, but other brands I’ve tried just haven’t measured up. I’ve also tried the kure by amika but will keep going back to velveteen dream, it’s my all time favorite!

Lathers well and has a pleasant scent. I don't think it smoothed my hair though (I have thick & wavy hair).

I love this shampoo and the way it makes my hair look and feel. I also use the velveteen conditioner.. together they keep the humidity from frizzing my hair up, keeps it smooth, it lays well since I have using them for several months,
