Ok, so the sound is a bit 'tinny' with no option to increase the bass or anything. But what do you expect from tiny speakers, let alone the price? As such, I'll just about give it four stars, given that 1) It works 2) It comes with good accessories: plug in power - either three pin or USB - an Aux lead and a 3.5mm jack to connect to external speakers if required 3) It has a remote control 4) It has the option of Bluetooth connection 5) It has a plug-in USB port. You can also use the player without the remote control, as there are physical buttons situated at the top of the unit. The downside is that the electronic display is situated on top, which means you cannot see what is going on while you are using the remote control, unless you are standing over the unit. That said, it does give a "beep" when the Bluetooth is connected. Also, the CD cover opens "upwards" which makes putting a CD inside a little awkward - you have to lift up the whole unit, which is a bit annoying. A top opener would have been a better design. But, for someone (like me) who still prefers to physically own my music on CD's (as opposed to renting my music from an online platform, and paying for the privilege of removing adverts which they put on themselves) it's absolutely fine. Good for a small office room, for example.

I am thrilled with this CD player as it is a good size, easy to work and the sound quality is great! I am using to listen to audio books at night to help me rest and sleep. I have given Genesis a blast on it and it was brilliant with good base, so not a tinny sound. It arrived in super quick time. Excellent value for money.

Nice cd player. I have so many cds in storage thought it was time I started playing them again. Needed something that I could Bluetooth to speakers. This does the job. As a standalone player I’d say the sound is terrible , but as a Bluetooth player it’s good. My only complaint is the door opening. For some odd reason it opens underneath upwards and is diddly to get cds into. Would be better if the top opened and not the bottom then you could drop on CDs easier. As is you have to pick the player up to do that.

My old stack system CD player of 30 years stopped working last week, so I purchased this as a replacement and have no regrets. The Bluetooth transmission is particularly useful because I can sit at my coffee table and stream CD tracks to the receiver in my HiFi. It works very well and is a great improvement on my old unit, which meant I had to get up and go over to the unit to change CDs. The new unit looks very basic, but is practical and effective. I don't intend to use the built-in speakers, but they sound fair for the small size of the unit. There is no built-in battery, but the unit does work via power back with a Type C connection. I don't use the on board FM radio either, but at least it's there if I ever need it. The price of the unit was fair too, given versatility of the unit as well as its remote control. A very worthwhile purchase.
