The Cody sheepskin slipper from Slippers International couldnt be warmer or more comfortable. This handsome choice can even be taken outside, thanks to its durable rubber outsole. It also features genuine fleece linings and elastic goring for a flexible fit. Slippers International is still very much a family business. The origin of their fine slipper-making dates back to their 1930's ancestors. Nearly 75 years later, they still maintain unsurpassed quality in their slipper making.

BEST SLIPPERS I'VE OWNED. EVER!
UPDATE 3/4/2017 - I changed from 4 to 5 star review. I've had these slippers for OVER 3 YEARS now (bought them November 2013). I stopped having the sock problem long ago (either because I bought different socks or because the slippers no longer grabbed). Even if the sock problem had persisted, I would still change my review to 5 stars. These slippers have become my favorite cold-weather footwear of all time. I'm retired and have worn these nearly every day for nearly 4 winters, including much of the spring and fall times, so they have been used a LOT, even worn walking outside and shopping a few times. The soles still look brand new. These are PERFECT in the following categories:1. Comfort2. Durability3. Quality4. LooksI often wish I could see reviews where the owner had used the items for YEARS. I'm glad I love these slippers so much that I came back to give you all just such a review. If my slippers ever wear out (though it seems they may last forever), I'll buy another pair - I won't even look at other slippers. Even the sheepskin lining seems as thick and comfy as the day they arrived. The only advice I can give is that you PICK ONE SIZE LARGER than you normally wear - I bought size 14, and I normally buy 13, but for me size 14 was perfect - not too big, not too small - they are easy to get on and off and they stay on my feet without any slippage all through the day.End of updated review.==========Original Review:I would have given these 5 stars, but I am one of those people who prefer to wear socks when wearing slippers. The natural (and soft) sheepskin lining tends to grab and "pull down" your socks over time when walking in these slippers. So I am now wearing these without socks, and they feel great (again, natural sheepskin is soft, not like some scratchy woven wool products). Now my only concern will be seeing if they start to "get dirty" on the inside over time, especially using no socks. The quality of this product seems amazing. But, I'll add to the review if they start to wear out too quickly. As to size, I followed other reviewers recommendations and ordered one size larger, and that was just right.2-15-14 Update: Being retired, I mostly wear white cotton tube socks. Recently I had occasion to wear thin black dress socks, and these slippers did NOT "pull down" those socks. So, your experience may depend on the type of socks you wear. Having worn the slippers quite a bit, I will say they are still very soft and cushy, and feel great with or without socks.

Very nice slippers, but you will need to stretch them out for a comfortale fit.
As my old slippers began to show end-of-life signs, I took up the quest of finding a new pair. One of the features that was a must have for me was a rubber sole with some sort of tread pattern on the bottom. I loved my previous slippers in terms of comfort, but they had a smooth rubber surface on the bottom that made them act like skis on a wet surface. There were a lot of slippers to choose from including many that met my criteria, but I painstakingly narrowed it down to three selections. My first selection was actually not this slipper, but was a slipper made by Acorn. I ordered a pair of the Acorn slippers, the quality of which was exceptional. Normally wearing a size 10 or 10.5 D, I ordered a size 11, however, and found that while the length was spot on, the fit across the middle was unbearably tight. I called Acorn, who were very nice, and they said that given my description of the level of tightness, they didn't feel that the slippers would not stretch out enough for me. So I returned them and went for my second choice, the Men's Cody Sheepskin Slipper. This time, I ordered their 11 2E size, thinking that the extra width would be needed based on my experience with the Acorn. When I got the slippers and tried them on, however, I was disappointed that they were again tight across the middle, although not as tight as the Acorn was. I called Slippers International (hard to track down, BTW) and also asked them about the width. In this case, they said they felt the slipper would widen sufficiently to accommodate me and offered to work with me if they didn't. So I put on some socks to add additional width and wore the slippers around the house for two days, taking every opportunity to remove the slippers and stretch them out with my hands as well. After the two days, lo and behold, the slippers did indeed stretch out and now they are very comfortable. There are a couple of things to keep in mind here. The Tamarac style of slippers, like Romeo slippers, have a seam in the middle on each side. This seam is likely to be the source of some tightness when you get the slippers. These seams are not generally going to stretch out as much as a slipper that has one piece through the entire side, but they will stretch out. In case of this particular brand, they stretched considerably after a couple of days of working with them. In general, slippers are notoriously undersized, which makes ordering them on the web somewhat problematic, but I think they are undersized because they do stretch out so much, not having the rigid upper of normal shoes that will tend to hold its shape more firmly. So if you do end up with a slipper that is tight in the width, work with it for a few days before giving up. You might be surprised, like I was, that you end up with a comfortable slipper from what initially seemed to be too tight. Like most reviewers here, I too would also recommend ordering something that is slightly larger than your normal show size. Like I said, I normally wear a 10 or 10.5 and found the 11's from both Acorn and Slipper's International to fit well in the length and even though I normally wear a D width in a shoe, I found the 2E width was actually the right size. I doubt I would have been able to stretch a D to fit which is why I had to give up on the Acorn's which only came in size D. I also think Amazon is compounding the problem. Both manufacturers indicated that what Amazon was listing as size D was actually what they would consider to be a "normal" width whereas size 2E would be considered to be "wide."

THEY LAST. -- VERY Warm, snug soccer cleat fit.
These are very warm. Too warm for extended periods unless it is deep winter if you have good circulation. If for medical reasons you have poor circulation, you may fall in love with these affordable high quality slippers. One note: They fit snug. A bit like a soccer cleat, especially since my big toe sticks up a bit. (For that reason Adidas cleats don't fit my foot, ever.) But they stretch out over just a few uses to be snug, without pressure or discomfort, likely by design for maximum warmth. So, if you want a little more toe room, go ahead and order a half size up. (I ordered a size 10. For reference/comparison: I wear a 10 for Bostonian dress shoes, a 9.5 or 10 for Nike cleats, and 11 for Brooks Adrenaline running shoes. If you don't want them snug and wear similar sizes to me, order a 10.5 or 11.)UPDATE: THEY LAST. Superb quality. I was just looking over my old reviews and was shocked that I first bought this and wrote this review in 2013. It's Nov of 16 now. They still seem like new. I wear them every evening at least 3 months a year. Everything I could ask of them. Very very pleased. Highly recommend especially if they have maintained this level of quality over the years.
