Once Upon A Broken Heart

Stephanie Garber didn't disappoint us. She never does. This book, in fact, this series is just wow. Jack and Evangeline are the main characters and even the plot is so damn good. A must for all book readers. Good paper quality. Value for money. Good storyline.

This book reignited my love for fantasy romcom books, no joke. Its beautifully written and worth a read if you're into that genre. Just wish it was package better when it was delivered, with a plastic cover or something atleast. The condition in which the book was delivered was not great at all but the book itself is amazing!

As soon as I started this story, I was pulled into a mesmerising world of magic, love and mystic. And what a delight it was. It arrested me in a way, that my imagination just flared into the world of Evangeline Fox. Evangeline Fox makes a deal with the Prince of Hearts to save her true love from a curse. In exchange of three kisses. The Prince of Hearts, a fate, will decide when and whom she needs to kiss. However unpleasant or dangerous it might be. What a magnificent storyteller, the descriptions are simply scintillating. The plot unfolds like a rich carpet, with each fold it opens a secret, a doubt and a confession. Heroes don't get happy endings, the Prince of Hearts reminds her. Complex characters with volatile emotions. Themes like honour, love, betrayal, guilt handled delicately. The heart of the story, I believe lies in the action packed drama and the profound thought provoking dialogues. There was not a single moment that I could easily put the book down. A must read for all those who have grown up listening and dreaming secretly for happily ever after. I can't wait to read the next two parts. Once in a while we all need a spoonful of delight.

There's secret symbols on the front cover underneath the sleeves that are unique to each book. So fun. Good quality and good story.

Completamente apaixonante e viciante. O Jacks se mostra um bom mala enquanto a Evangeline se mostra uma excelente protagonista. O universo é bem detalhado e você pode ser enganado a cada vírgula. Por mais que o nome soe clichê eu te asseguro, é o contrário kkk. O coração partido vai ser o seu daqui a pouco. Ansiosa para a continuação

The story: The writing is very easy to read which is what I enjoyed most about this book but the storyline is all over the place and nothing really makes any sense...there is no world builing and you are kind of just thrown into a story with 0 context, it took me awhile to figure it out...not worth the hype IMO. I'm not going to bother reading the remaining books in this series. Cosmetics: the font used in this book is very small which is unappealing. The cover is only really relevant to a small few lines in the book again, not enough world building to justify this cover. The book arrived damaged which was disappointing.
