Awesome quality and perfect for mechanical keyboard enthusiasts!
I absolutely love this keyboard! You can tell that RK put some thought into building it. It feels and sounds solid. It works perfectly in 2.4 GHz wireless 2.4GHz or Bluetooth 5.0 modes. Obviously, you can connect the keyboard to your computer physically too (and the connector is USB-C thankfully). If you use are using the RK96 via USB, you can connect other USB devices to it (like a USB hub) to cut down on the number of wires on your desk. They really didn’t have to include that functionality, but it’s nice they did. The volume controller is cool because you don’t turn it left or right, you swipe up or down which feels more natural. The key layout is better than all the other TKL keyboards I’ve tried because I don’t have to look down to find the arrow keys. They are shifted just slightly toward the typist so you can feel where they are located. Here’s the big thing: the keyboard customization software is good. I was able to disable the caps lock and tilde keys (I do this for gaming but you can change any key on the board), set the right ALT and right CTRL to Home and End (there are Home and End function keys, but with my new keycaps I can’t tell where they are, lol—more on this later), and I recorded a few macro shortcuts with the software and set them to the F8 and F9 keys. If you are into keyboard customization the RK96 is a great starting point. The case and stabilizers are high quality. The PCB can withstand some accidental liquid spillage (see below). The included keycaps and hot-swappable switches are good, but if you’re an enthusiast you’re going to change them out anyway. I bought the RK96 with red switches (for gaming) but changed most of them out for Drop Holy Pandas. However, I did leave the stock red switches on the WASD and left Shift keys to make my RK96 a typing/gaming keyboard. I also changed out the stock keycaps for Tai-Hao Rainbow Sherbet. Again, you do not have to change out the keycaps and switches, but if you’re an enthusiast or want to customize your keyboard you can. Last thing: I spilled coffee all over my beautiful, customized RK96 keyboard. It was devastating, but after some light water/alcohol cleaning and asking Royal Kludge support (they are great, btw) I was able to save my beloved keyboard. If you're an enthusiast, just getting into mechanical keyboards, or just want a great keyboard I highly recommend the RK96.

I am writing this review so that I can type something. That is how good this keyboard is..
I mean it is so great!! I had to write a review, just so I could type something. The feel of the red switch is amazing, very fluid and nice. By far the best keyboard I have owned. I mean even right now, it's so great I just want to keep typing. The noise level is nice, not as loud as a blue switch, my last keyboard. It is heavy and sturdy, probably because of the battery in the keyboard. But man it is nice to type on. The magnetic wrist rest is awesome. It looks very sharp, and minimalist. Great keyboard. I could safely say , "It is the best white keyboard that is both bluetooth wireless and backlit on the market." 5 Hour Edit--This keyboard is SO great that every time I walk by it, I smile. It's so great. 2 day Edit- Still AWESOME! I believe if a company bought this keyboard for all it's employees 5% of the employees will have a 20 percent increase in productivity, typing productivity. That is a 500 bases points in Productivity in typing stuff! 4 Month Review-- Still AWESOME, still the best backlit, wireless, white keyboard on the market. There is one problem though. More than a few times a day I accidentally hit the caps lock key. I think it is when I try to hit shift I graze the caps lock key to engage it.

Awesome keyboard for those that loved the IBM Model M
I have been looking for a new keyboard for a while. I have been using a Logitech model that supported 3 computers. It was OK, but the keys were very mushy. I downsized to one computer so I thought why not switch to a new keyboard too. I knew I wanted something similar to my old beloved IBM Model M keyboard, but something without the large size and also had wireless capabilities. After MUCH searching for a decent mechanical keyboard, I focused on the Royal Kludge models. Mostly for the excellent price, as some mechanical keyboards can be costly. I got the 90% model, and I couldn't be happier. The feel is very similar to the Model M, but definitely quieter (although not exactly silent.) What I love most besides the feel is the magnetically attached wrist rest. That feature alone is pretty neat. There are plenty of other options I have yet to explore of fully utilize, such as the lighting of the keyboard. I have yet to play with many of the key mappings either. But I mostly just type, so these features aren't very important to me. Note: I am running Linux (Pop! OS to be specific), and the keyboard works great with Linux out of the box.

Price makes up for minor flaws, but watch for LEDs.
Pros: -Heavier than expected! Feels high quality despite the plastic material. -Spacebar seems nice and stable. -Lots of backlight settings!!! -Compact size while still having many dedicated function keys (like the print-screen key and delete key!) -Magnetic wrist rest stays on pretty firmly, I haven't had it pull away at all while typing. -White base with no tacky logos was exactly what I was looking for, nice and clean. Cons: -Of the two that I ordered, one has a broken LED on the "4" key that is dimmer than the rest, and occasionally flickers. Since I plan on getting opaque keycaps, I don't mind enough to bother trying to send it back in to be repaired/replaced. Not unexpected at a price this low, just a bit unlucky, as it seems like it wouldn't be an easy fix. -Trying to flip out the taller legs in the back is really hard. Had to get a butter knife to flip them open. The shorter legs flip out easily though, and I ended up preferring them that way anyways. -Slight wobble to the enter, shift and backspace stabilizers. I'm not a typing enthusiast in any way though, and it's not really noticeable unless you know what to look for. Overall I would definitely recommend this keyboard, the base and layout were exactly what I needed.

The RK96 is my first mechanical keyboard. I was looking for a nice (starter) keyboard with red (linear) switches since I intended to use it for gaming as well as productivity. This form factor seemed to be my best choice, as I wanted a keyboard a little smaller than a full-size, but did not want to omit the numpad. When I got it a couple of weeks ago it worked fine (no issues in all the three modes), but upon hooking it up to my laptop, it burnt out on the USB port. I quickly got in contact with RK support (via the intermediary). After a couple of pleasant exchanges of information (and a couple of videos stating the problem), it was quickly decided to send me a new keyboard. Delivery of the replacement was quick! It does have a slight ping on some of the keys, but I may add some mods after running it as is. So all-in-all great service, nice keyboard. Definitely getting a 5 star for the service.

Has he potential to be agreat product, but disappointed that it has a low power mode that can not be turned off. (In other words, the keyboard enters a sleep mode after a period of time, when it resumes it takes up to 10 secoends to "awaken" in which only some of the keys pressed are registered. For my work, I need a keyboard that I can ensure doesn't enter this low state mode. I reached out to product support but they infomred me there is no way to do this and future firmware updates will not address this issue. For this reason it doesn't work for my purposes and you should consider similar if you require "Always on" as a critical feature for the keyboard.

TL:DR: i love the feel and functionality despite some minor issues. Customer service is top notch. Baseline 4.5 stars. I'd buy again. I love the look, feel, and sound of this keyboard with 0.7mm o-rings. The switches have just a tad bit of play, but not wobbly. Minus a half star. The switches are nicely responsive. Overall i prefer them to my last set of cherry reds. Hot swap is a bonus in case there's an issue, and it even comes with extras! The battery life isn't amazing, but it holds up for an extended couch gaming or writing session. Minus a quarter star. The software is a bit janky, but it works fine. Minus a quarter star. Bluetooth connectivity is great at 10 or so feet. I haven't tested farther, or the 2.5ghz band at all. Be careful when updating the firmware. A mistake could brick it. It happened to me when i accidentally closed the update window. Minus one star for that... ... but plus two for the timely and thorough help with the issue. RK has a lifetime customer if their quality and customer service remain this excellent!
