Using Mullvad for a 3+yrs now, IMO it’s one of the few VPNs that actually feels built for privacy without marketing load. Speeds consistently good on WireGuard, features like Multihop are easy to switch on and don’t choke performance. Useful features include DAITA, which mixes and spreads user traffic across the network to make tracking harder. It’s not something you notice day-to-day, but it’s the type of security setup to provide confidence. Users create account with a random number — no email, no name, hassle free - appreciated these days. Mullvad is based in Sweden, technically inside the 14 Eyes intelligence alliance, but they’ve had third-party audits confirming they don’t keep logs, which gave me more confidence than the usual “trust us” claims. That said, it’s not perfect. Server list isn’t huge - but sufficient, lots of countries to pick from, this might feel limited. If you’re hoping to unblock Netflix or other streaming services (I don't), heard Mullvad is hit-or-miss — mostly miss. Bit of hassle with Reddit, you have switch to a working connection, and it eventually goes through. In the Reddit case especially, had to switch a bunch of locations - surprisingly support was ho-hum about it. Support is email only, but generally responsive, but no instant help if something breaks. Pros: Anonymous accounts, no personal details Audited no-logs policy Solid speeds with WireGuard Multihop works well DAITA adds another privacy layer Transparent about legal requests 14-Eyes location is low-impact due to no logs Cons: Not dependable for streaming access Smaller server list No live chat support Overall, it’s excellent if you care about privacy and security. If you want a VPN mainly for streaming or tons of server locations, this may not be your favorite. That being said, it's a fit if you rather have something solid with visibility. Stay safe!

Mullvad is great. I get good speeds and it offers enough features for what I need. Shame that they got rid of port forwarding though.

Best VPN for anonymity. When you sign up you provide zero and I mean zero information to them. They just generate an account number and you add this voucher code to it. As soon as you do that you have access. So even if somehow they were to be compromised there is no personal information to compromise, no name, no address, no credit card, etc. Just a randomly generated number. Speeds are good with good physical server coverage. This has been my go to VPN for a while now.

I like this VPN. It speeds up system updates. It always fires up on computer startup, which is a good security measure. This is probably one of the most privacy-focused VPNs around. The fact that the Swedish police paid them a visit is a recommendation. May I also recommend the Mullvad browser? The browser is a "fork" of Firefox with and goes very well with the Mullvad VPN. Highly recommended.
