PB41LSN Doorbell Kit, Lighted Round Stucco Pushbutton for Home, 2.5" Diameter, Satin Nickel

I never fixed or changed a doorbell before but our doorbell had been on the fritz for six months or more. Finally I had the drive and the time to see what the problem was. I didn't see how to remove the old doorbell except to pull it out. Sure enough it came out with two wires attached to it and two metal tabs that acted as anchors that pressed against the sides of the hole drilled for it. I went to the local hardware store and none of the doorbells were like the one I pulled out. They all were screw in types which would mean I had to drill a couple of holes in the stucco, put in plastic anchors and screw in the new doorbell--all stuff I didn't want to do. After searching and searching online I came across this doorbell but with no adequate pictures I still wasn't sure if this would work. I figured $10 and change was worth a look-see. When I opened the package I was very satisfied to see it was a perfect match of the one I removed. All I needed was a small philips screwdriver and a pair of needle nose pliers and I had my new doorbell installed and illuminated in a matter of minutes. It works perfectly and best of all it looks new.

I bought and installed this door bell 7 years ago. It has been working well. the light is still functioning and hasn't burned out after 7 years of being constantly on. It is hooked up to a 10 v transformer (lower voltage than normal). Maybe that is why it has been working well all this time. It doesn't get stuck some other door buttons I have pushed in past. So overall I highly recommend this doorbell button. Wow, I went to take a photo for this reveiw and noticed that it was cracked in middle. But still staying ther and I couldn't pull the button out of sucket. So I still think this is a great doorbell button and would buy it again.

LOL! Button indeed falls apart, as some reviewers noted. The button itself did not lock into the center of the baseplate and an small bracket didn't attach correctly to the assembly. So, yes, other than using silicone to attach the baseplate to the exterior wall and hoping no one pulls on the button assembly (it would just come right out unless super-glued in place) there is no proper way to install it. It will literally fall out of the wall. Pass on this doorbell button!

This was an exact match for an old broken one. It was super easy to install, and the lighted button is a nice touch

I like the LED light. The unit is designed in two main pieces that snap together. The locking device is not secure. It comes apart easily. Once installed it seems to stay together. Durability remains to be seen.

It works and lights up, but the dead bugs behind the lit button does not enhance a homes entry.

Bought and installed this for a neighbor and is a great replacement at a good price for a doorbell push button. It is also lighted which is a good bonus.

Amazingly cheap price for a good product. Previously I had spent twice as much on a craptastic piece of plastic. This looks and feels fantastic.

It looks nice enough, but we were not able to install this, as it requires a large hole to hold the prongs in place. We were looking for something that requires screws to attach, and it was not clear from the photo/description that this does not.

Mounting hardware is a joke. Whole thing is very cheap and flimsy. Threw it away rather than bother to return it.
