I needed to get new Christmas lights for my deck railing this year, however I like to have just white patio lights on the rest of the year, so figured I could kill two birds with one stone with these. I love that you can choose many different colors, shades of a specific color, brightness, and light motion. I like to have warm white lights on throughout the whole year, however I was a little disappointed the “white” color was basically blue. I was able to tweak it in the app well enough to get close to the warm white I was looking for. It’s worth it to be able to change out the colors for every holiday! The app is a little finicky to use and I’ve had to google a few problems, but it’s pretty user friendly overall. I like that you can select a specific color for each individual light, but you can’t choose a light motion (blinking, fade, chasing, etc.) when you do that. And best of all, it remembers your last setting when you turn them back on so you don’t have to change the color every single day! Overall I’m very happy with them!

After using the same lights year after year, I decided to buy these. I bought them because of the features and I was excited and put them up. I got the first story strand up but had to pay someone to put them on my second story. I paid quite a bit to have them installed but I thought it would be worth it. I was WRONG. The day after putting them up, several lights on the bottom row went out. They will not turn on, no matter what troubleshooting measures you take, they are simply dead. Fast forward only a few days... The entire top row, except for ONE LIGHT went out. The app is responding, but the lights are dead. This was an absolute waste of time and money! I am furious at this trash company, Govee, for even selling such a subpar product. To make matters even worse, the plug AND the attached control box are NOT WATERPROOF. So I purchased water tight boxes so they wouldnt get wet. Again, more wasted money. Do yourself a favor, instead of purchasing these garbage lights, PLEASE ORDER FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY. These will not last you more than a few days. I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. Now I have wasted money in watertight boxes (which you shouldn't even need for outdoor lights) and I paid someone to put them on my second story. Plus the gas I have to waste to send them back to Amazon. Complete waste of time, energy, and money!

Had one of the product for a very long time this year I treated myself for Christmas. I have several strings backyard on the house. And the neighbors have said they really enjoy the fact that the colors change and are different. I was able to change colors for St Patrick's Day now for Easter of course for Christmas. I'm able to program my own in. The important thing is to remember that you keep the power and the little computer box out of the elements if you don't they crap out that was the first thing I made sure to do. I drilled the hole in the back porch and ran it through to protect that. I tried to make sure that the one lights were underneath the eaves of the house because people said they had difficulties with them. And they've been doing okay under there. It's just a real Joy to come home at night and see my house flickering with all the cool colors. I already have little solar lights out in the yard and I have a total English garden it's the Happy House on the street LOL. Whenever I'm out in the yard working people stop and say we love your house it's really nice. It took quite a few years of work and no one else did it but it's a real satisfying experience when you know other people appreciate your little light show and your plants. I highly recommend Govi products also because I started having an issue with one of the lines I contacted them and I thought it'd be like pulling teeth. I sent him a picture and told him what was going on and I had troubleshooted and I couldn't get them to work. Right away they said no we're going to send you Replacements they're still under warranty it was a month after purchase. I was totally impressed. That's good customer service. My dad always said when you do something good you should tell people because when people do bad work everybody knows.

So, unlike some people who bought these, I assumed there were for indoor use only. Well, so far they still work great. I own other Govee products as well, no complaints.

Updated review - After submitting the review below, Govee sent me a new set of lights. Definitely above and beyond as I was past the return period - thank you Govee! The new lights are working well, no issues so far but I did install them in an area outside where they will not be exposed to moisture. I didn't want to take any chances. As a result, I updated my rating and have also bought some additional lights from Govee as I think thier products really are good quality. I'm so disappointed with these lights. I have a different set of lights from Govee that I've been super happy with so I was really hopeful these would be good as well but my experience is quite the opposite. They were easy to set up, they have a lot of really cool features but since just last week, several of the bulbs have stopped turning on. In my view, when you're paying more than $30 for a set of lights, they should work longer than a month. Additionally, the lights say indoor or outdoor use and yet the power supply is not weather proof - what?!? I therefore had to have the lights plugged into an outlet in my house which really limited where they could be used so I really don't think you can call theae indoor/outdoor lights. Do better Govee!!!
