What are the specific Battery and charger requirements that need to be ordered for operation?

Traxxas 2S or 3S lipo batteries. I got the 3S 5000mah battery that Traxxas makes and it’s a perfect fit. 3S offers higher top speed and 2S is better for low speed crawling. The mah is basically how long the battery will last. The lower the number that faster it will drain. The only advantage to lower mah batteries is they are lighter weight. A 5000mah battery will last about 2 hours before needing charged. You can get other battery brands but you would have to make sure it has the same plug style as the Traxxas connector which is proprietary. Traxxas sells the 3S 5000mah battery and battery charger as a kit which I got and it works awesome. Hope this helps
