MyGift Fluorescent Light Bulb 4 Pin 6500K 27 Watt with Quad Tubes GX10Q-4 Base, Replacement Bulb for Light of America Lamps

My Amazon purchase records show that, last December, I purchased this light for three dollars under the current price. Am I going to protest? (Yes, but quietly. The light is clearly being sold by independent vendors, whose enterprise is facilitated by Amazon.) More importantly, this one is the "right" light at any price. It's the equal of the original in fit, brightness, coverage, and durability. I'm just glad that it still represents a mere fraction of the cost of the floor lamp (though closer to 20% than 10%). If it's so good, why am I purchasing another? (It's next to my bed, not anchored to the floor boards, and I tend to be clumsy, bumping into and knocking over things during my nocturnal navigations. Warning: this light will not survive a drop of 4-5 feet on to a wooden floor.) Given the light's cost last December, I now wish I had purchased two at that time? Is now the time to purchase two? Perhaps so, but on 2nd thought I wouldn't base the decision on cost. As the economists keep saying, world-wide inflation isn't something to fear: it's inevitable and something to be expected. Based on such logic, purchasing two on the basis of a "good price" would betray fear and pessimism "going forward" (economic jargon for "in the future"). Purchasing just one light, on the other hand, is a vote of confidence. It represents a belief that the escalating cost of living won't be a match for yours and my increased increased income power. President G.H. Bush once said, after being grilled by the press about the economy, what counts most is "the vision thing." This replacement Sunlight Lamp validates the President's point at any price (though I'd still like to see it listed closer to 5 than 10).

This 4 bulb 27W fluorescent reading light bulb was only $9 compared to the equivalent 27W Verilux bulb of the exact same size for over $25. This bulb has a plastic base with two side tabs that keep it from fitting correctly into the Verilux reading lamp base. however a small electric grinder can be easily used to grind off the plastic tabs, allowing this bulb to fit perfectly and light up normally in the verilux lamp….. at 1/3rd the cost of the Verilux light bulb. The fit is snug and the hi-lo light settings are extremely bright. One of the reviewers of this bulb made and posted this observation, and he was 100% correct. Now this unique fluorescent light bulb is a super deal!!

The bulb failed to light up when the lamp was turned on. It didn't work. It should be replaced.

This is an oldie-but-goodie and hard to find bulb required for a long-used outdoor light fixture. Glad to find it, works perfectly.

I was about to throw my lamp away. Bulbs were too expensive. This item saved the day. Lamp works like new. Price was reasonable. Bright color light for sewing. Easy to install. No flickering.
