Kept mosquitoes and debris out of the barrel.
The item is sturdy and effective. I put it over my rain barrel to keep mosquitos from breeding and keep leaf debris, etc out of the water. It's held up really well and when it gets truly cold I'll take it off and store until next year. The pull string keeps it in place and neither the wind nor stuff from trees or wind have made it come loose. Good to have if your container is open at the top.

They last a good year and then usually time to get a new one. It breaks down and tears.

Great for preventing bugs in water
Love this for collecting garden water. Also filters leaves and debris. We use it together with mosquito cleanser every once in a while.

Glad to have this mesh cover to collect rain water. A great investment for future free rainwater. Wish I had got it a few months earlier when major storms were in my area. Just use to cover top of barrel when raining, and cover barrel with lid when sunny. Great for filtering the many redwood leaves that fall around my area constantly.
