Bonds very well
I bought this particular tape for a few reasons. #1, Made In the USA. #2 Made by a long time company with a trusted name. #3, size, (width and thickness). I used it to bond a convertible top section to a flap of material that allows the top to rise up when at highway speeds, but not let it stretch beyond its limits. I bonded first to the top fabric itself and used a high end heat gun on a very low setting so as to not damage the top. I weighted the top down on the outside to assist in the bonding. Next came the time to bond the flap of material to the top itself. This flap is bonded to a 'bow', that give the top its shape while in the up position. Slowly removing the protective film, I worked the material flap to the tape and again, applied light heat and some weight and let it sit for a few days. The suggested curing time is 72 hours. Follow it for best results. Also make sure both sections to be bonded are clean and free of oils, previous bonding materials, if any and wiped down with Isopropal alcohol. Today, I took a 20 mile trip with speeds between 70 and 80 mph. The top rose up like it should and never broke the bond along the entire 32" run of tape. Not having this bond in place stretches the top material and gives it a worn look when at rest until it tightens itself back up. So far, I'm very happy with the results of which I didn't really expect. This saves me a few hundred dollars in a top repair and took very little time to complete. Another great 3M product!

Excellent Adhesion - READ ON travel trailer solar panel people
EXCELLENT adhesion. I am using it on aluminium strut channels with my solar panels mounted on the roof of my travel trailer. This combined with "RainBuster 900" sealent (HARD to find) will lock your panel struts quite securely. DO use at least 1 screw on each end to prevent any potential "flapping" of the roof material. Be sure of course to screw into roof RIBS.

Great for automotive applications
I have used this to stick a dashcam to my windshield. It has held fast even under the extreme heat from direct sunlight and a closed car.

works great
Car wash blowers literally blew rear sliding glass and track right off my truck used this tape to reattach track to back of the truck and the rear window is opening/closing like new. I did double up on this tape to make it fit in track in my 2017 F250 super duty

If it sticks, it stays
First, be aware that it absolutely will not stick to everything. If your car dashboard has been spritzed with Armorall to make it slick and shiny, you can forget sticking pretty much anything to it, this adhesive foam tape included. I'm noting this because I've seen folks gripe about buying a stick-on phone mount and then discovering that it wouldn't stay put on their lovingly hand-detailed dashboard covered with Armorall or similar products. That said, on most smooth, non-porous materials, this tape is going to bond well enough that you'll risking damaging something when you try to remove it. So, be *really sure* that you've got it where you want it before pressing it in place; you most likely won't get two shots.

I purchased this 3M product to bond some 0.040 aluminum strips to the aluminum trim on my camper project to finish the weather seal. This stuff is amazing. The bond is quick so you had better get your parts lined up right the first time. If not, good luck getting them apart intact. Overall I am very impressed. With proper surface prep and the right temps you will be very impressed. Buy genuine 3M for the best results. Lots of knock off brands out there...look like 3M but aren't. Your results may vary.

SO nice to know that this is an authentic tape, packaging is excellent and price is FANTASTIc. Package came with 3 rolls for $198 Canadian, my local suppler sells one roll for $150. They are a National sign supply chain. I am so grateful for Amazon and sellers like this who make buying supplies for my business affordable.

Seems to be legit 3M tape. Expensive but it will hold up anything. I've used it in cold weather and its noticeably less effective around 5C. Warming the parts and tape with a heat gun helps a lot but I wouldn't trust it to hold up much. Forget using it in subzero temperatures even with the heat gun.
