Exciting Team Activity for Family/Friends
This is the perfect gift for any friend/relative who enjoys crime investigations and detectives! We completed this together, it was challenging whilst fun. The hints offered useful help where necessary. The gameplay took longer than advised however was our first Murder Mystery. Great quality of materials makes it more realistic and worthwhile the money. My friend has since purchased more!

Fishy Murders
Had a blast solving this mystery! It took us the recommended amount of hours to finish it, but it was so engaging you couldn't stop. The time just flew by because we didn't want to stop and lose our traction. The pack provided (and the packaging looked super nice) had so much information in it from different parts of the investigation process which made it all the more fun. Would absolutely recommend this game to others, excellent work by the creators!

Simple but immersive: a fun little game!
I purchased this game to play with my boyfriend as we both like this type of investigation game, having played a few investigatory video games and escape room board games. I was drawn to the marine biologist one as it seemed the most unique and interesting. I haven’t played the other titles but the names sounded a little cliché, we might try them in the future though. Overall the game was very fun to play, and a lot longer than we had expected. It took us 3 sessions of around 3 hours each, as the game has so many clues in person and online that we couldn’t thoroughly go through them all in less time. We were both very happy with the amount of information- having so much made it feel like a real case and it was fun that there was so much available to go back and forth with. In general we like to play these types of games but wouldn’t consider ourselves to be experts. At first we were wondering whether it would be too hard for us (being a 4 difficulty) but we solved it pretty easily. Not that it was obvious, we still had to look through all the clues multiple times, but we didn’t need any help with the conclusion. The physical aspect of the game is so well detailed. The evidence FEELS real which is so exciting and immersive. The only downside which I will mention more below is that the storytelling could be better. Not that it isn’t good because the game is very enjoyable but the game could be perfect with some tidying up. ****NEXT PART CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS FOR THE GAME***** My only issue with the game is that the game fails to mention important characters for a very long time (until the second part really) so it doesn’t feel very satisfactory at the end of the game when some people are found not to have anything to do with the case at all. Of course there will be some red herrings but I felt as though the majority of the first part turned out to be for nothing. It would have been nice if there were more interlinking things instead of just a bunch of coincidences, especially when we spent so much time going over everything.

Fantastic Family activity
Originally brought for myself, but soon become a family event. Incredibly interesting, and loved how much evidence and material was included in the packages. Easily understood the instructions, as well as the online aspect of evidence and hints. Great value for money!

Awesome
Really fun activity to do if you are into murder mysteries and solving crimes, we found it pretty hard and very exciting from all the clues, letters, and fingerprints. It is really well done, thank you to the team for creating it, cant wait to do more

AMAING BUR DIFFICULT (GREAT FUN!)
Set during april in Australia. Amazing game, had me and my partner scratching ours heads and going through the same peice of evidence 10x as there was always something we missed. Amazing game to play if you got a good 5 hours to spare. Quite difficult for those that haven't tried any of the previous ones. Its rated 4/5, so if it's your first time doing cryptic killer case files, go for an easier one

challenging but so rewarding and addictive
superb level of detail. took us 4hrs to complete, loads of evidence to go through and plenty of plot twists. absolutely love these packs. great night in. makes us want to invest in a 10ft whiteboard for an evidence wall hahahah

My partner and I (both in our early 30s) enjoy doing these sorts of murder mystery packages together for date nights, and this was our first "Cryptic Killers" box. We really enjoyed it! The story was fun and I liked the mix of some puzzles with a lot of logical thinking and piecing things together. We talked through a lot of stuff together, which is always fun when you're doing these as a pair/group. We also thought everything was fair -- no wide leaps in logic or any guessing games were needed on our end. Everything made sense when we connected the right clues together. The documents were also well-made overall (some typos here and there, but nothing major) and high-quality. We read through everything and this ended up taking us a few hours over a couple of nights, so it was totally worth the money. The ONLY thing is we would have loved it if it was all on paper with no real online elements -- this game has a few online clues/pieces of evidence and we didn't have a laptop with us when we did it, so we were having to read them on our phones. It wasn't a huge deal, and mostly a personal preference. We'll be getting more of these in the future for sure!

If you ever played game of this sort you will be heavily dissapointed. The case file consists only of 2 folders with paper hints, nothing much else. The riddle is written very poorly, and the main difficulty is not in solving it but undertanding what the creator had in mind. I agree with other people being dissapointed in the clues not leading you in an organised way to a conclusion - after all you have only 2 tasks. Only will give one extra star for the print quality, as it wasnt bad at all, but its only because it wasnt terrible. Will definitely not buy any more games from this author as its very dissapointing - 'detective for a day' stories are much much better.

More fun than a board game. Immersive design. So much fun. Everything is designed to make you feel like you are in the game. Photos on photo stock, newspapers, tickets, reports - all done to be as realistic as being part of the police department.
