I got a food processing machine from Asia as a gift and needed a reliable transformer that can accommodate 800v or larger. I liked the look (was planning on leaving on a countertop) and the display window but it was a lot bigger and heavier. I only used it once but didn't notice any noise. I did have to return the first delivery because it wouldn't turn on.

It worked fine for about 1month, then it wouldn't turn on anymore. This is the 2nd unit I purchased. The 1st unit never worked; it always reported over voltage. I was able to return that one. This one having worked for about 1 month, I'm now out of the return window. If you buy one, you're rolling the dice. I hope yours works.

Stopped working after 6 months wouldn't turn on, not even extensive usage my usage was once every two or 3 days for a coffee maker and switched off when not in use ... broke down after 6 months with no support and no returns big waste of money

We have occasionally bought small appliances and things overseas and then had to use a lot of converters and adapters to be able to use them back home which usually isn't worth it but sometimes we find things there we just can't seem to find here in the US. This step up converter makes using them so much easier. We don't have any major appliances that would be using this and it's not for things we need to use everyday, so I don't know how well it holds up with more continuous use, but so far it's worked well for occasional use. It's easy to use and relatively quiet. The size is pretty compact compared to others we looked at and the look of it is more aesthetically pleasing than most others too. For short term, occasional use of items purchased overseas and used in the US, this works great. For the price you can purchase much uglier looking transformers that do both step up and step down power voltages, this one is definitely more pleasant to look at, but those other ones seem more durable and capable of long term use. I guess it really depends on what you need to use it for and how often you'll be using it that really makes the biggest difference in which one you should buy.

To me the "120v to 240v Step Up Transformer 1000W, 110v to 220v Power Voltage Converters, No Noise, Ten Protection Functions, Suit for Coffee Machines, Rice Cookers and Other Appliances", is a pretty complicating and confusing machine. I don't see a benefit to daily use but in case of an emergency like a hurricane (like we have), it will be decent. I feel ambivalent about it really...it's a decent machine and I'll see with time if I change my opinion on it. For now, overall it's a decent machine.

Just took it on my summer vacation and sad to say this doesn’t work. Doesn’t even turn on!
