Smell - the 5th dimension
As a bloke in touch with his feminine side perhaps, I have a growing interest in fragrances, smells ... we have 5 senses and I think for most of us our sense of smell is hugely underused. Although we need it in order to taste food (we can all relate to having a cold and losing our sense of taste), smell alone is something I think I use less. So I have learned to love hand soaps and enjoy the residual fragrance left on the hand after washing in perhaps an up-market restaurant where good attention to detail leads to a tasteful soap being installed. I have a number of (liquid) soap dispensers in loos and bathrooms at home and usually buy a bubble bath or shower gel to fill them with, maybe cheapies from Lidl or Radox. They're ok. Our sense of smell is hard wired so that if we smell a fire, we react to run without thinking about it. Or smell something rotten, we we recoil. Survival mechanism reactions. But smells are evocative - have you had that experience of smelling something that immediately rockets you back to a day at school or other earlier life experience? Smell is powerful psychologically. I stumbled across Cremo and was intrigued - palo santo is a fragrant, wild tree native to South America, historically used as "holy wood" for spiritual cleansing, clearing negative energy, and calming meditation. Its wood, which has a sweet scent of pine, mint, and lemon, is typically burned to produce incense or used as essential oil. I had no idea what this smelled like but was curious enough to buy. I used a dab to wash my hands and already love this gorgeous smell. And it is extremely concentrated, the tiniest amount the size of a lentil resulted in a huge amount of lather. I can see a pea size drop on the shower sponge will provide a sumptuous shower. When we can add an extra dimension of pleasure to our mundane daily routines, then I think we should do it. Through sounds such as music of ambient sounds and scents to shower with, wear and atomisers to provide fragrance to our place of work or rest. Nearly £10 for shower gel may seem a lot, however, it is at least 3 x more concentrated than run of the mill gel. Used with care, I reckon it will easily last a long time and work out similar £cost wise. It's almost as thick as treacle. I plan to buy a few more, although the Palo Santo is amazing, with everything in life, the familiarity of day to day use will undermine its pleasure, just like food and the same view. It's why the phrase "Variety is the spice of life" was coined by the English poet William Cowper in 1785 :-) Life is full of new things to discover and this one for me has introduced another pleasure to enjoy.

Lovely smell
In short: If you like the idea of a body wash that smells like a high-end woody bourbon/spice blend, delivers a good lather, and leaves a lingering pleasant scent — then Cremo Bourbon & Oak is a very solid choice. The complaints are mild and mostly around variability in scent longevity or the packaging convenience. My score (if I were rating): 4.5 out of 5. Great product, a couple of caveats, but likely to please those in its target audience.

The absolute best shower gel for men
The best men's shower gel I have found. It is described as luxury and for me it definitely lives up to that moniker. A strong masculine fragrance that lasts far longer than any I have used previously. In fact it is so strong it may be too much for those wanting something more subtle! It may seem expensive but it lasts a long time as a little goes a long way. Regular Prime offers mean it can often be found for under £10 delivered. I recommend pairing with the equally excellent aftershave for a clean smell all day that will set you apart from the standard brands.

Expected more
I thought I’d treat myself to a nicer body wash. First impressions were great, the bottle was nice, the smell was amazing and a little bit went a long way however I soon realised the smell didn’t last. With other body washes I’ve had, it smells great and leaves you smelling good for a while too however with this one it felt like the nice smell went as soon as you rinsed off. It’s a shame because it’s such a nice body wash apart from that
