Salty but convenient
Good to keep in fridge for fast needed veg broth. Plenty salty but a helpful product

Itโs very concentrated and flavorful.
I buy this product over and over again, itโs my favorite. I use it in soups and to marinate with veggies or tofu. Itโs so flavorful and adds just the right amount of oomph to my dishes.

Better than expected, lasts forever
Been using this for YEARS now and honestly it's way better than I expected. A teaspoon per cup makes a decent broth, and this jar is going to last me forever at that rate. Mostly I throw it in when I'm making soup or cooking rice/grains. Makes a huge difference vs just using water. Also good for when you're deglazing a pan and don't want to open a whole carton of broth that you'll forget about in the fridge. The taste is solid - pretty savory. I usually don't add extra salt when I use it. Would buy again, cheaper and less wasteful than boxes of broth.

Makes any dish more delicious.
The Seasoned Vegetable Base is great for enhancing ANY meat or vegetable dish instead of salt. I donโt have to buy the other flavors they make like chicken or beef. I just buy this Vegetable base. I use it to make delicious, sautรฉed vegetables with extra virgin olive oil. It adds rich umami flavor for soups and chili, makes a delicious gravy for any meat, like rack of lamb. Great for meat marinades Add to meats by mixing w little hot water, garlic, olive oil, maple syrup, dash of liquid hickory smoke, baste the surface for grills. The thick paste is easier to use and more flavorful than any hard bouillon cubes. It doesnโt have MSG which a lot of bouillonโs use. Like that itโs Organic. FYI It does say refrigerator after opening, even though it has a high Salt content, and since it takes a while to use up this large jar, I do refrigerate mine. Overall I love this product and use it almost daily for cooking.

Can't be beat
Do a little research and you'll find this brand is highly recommended for flavor. It's also so very convenient, economical, and sustainable. The stuff in the boxes is made from pastes like this, apparently, and using the paste directly reduces waste and shipping and all that. I am so glad it comes in large jars: I try to keep a veg, chicken, and beef on hand at all times, in low-sodium organic. A dab adds flavor to so many things, and is so much faster than reducing the water back out of a broth.

Better Than Bouillon bases are all very good
Better Than Bouillon low sodium bases are still fairly high in salt, so don't add salt until you taste your dishes first. I use this one as a salt substitute, because it also adds a lot of flavor, which salt doesn't. Read the ingredients, because a lot of powders and cubed products contain ingredients I would prefer to do without. The first ingredient in "Wyler's Reduced Sodium Beef Flavor Cubes", for example, is "beef bouillon type flavor", whatever that is. Where's the beef? The first ingredient in this BTB base is "Mirepoix (carrots, celery and onions)" followed by reconstituted tomato juice, which are all "real food". The French add mirepoix to flavor a lot of their dishes, just as the cooks in Louisiana add the holy trinity (celery, onions, and green bell peppers) to theirs. Now let's discuss cost. Salt is almost free. I paid under $17 for this, which is claimed to be 100 servings, or 17 cents per serving. This is not expensive. Cubes and powders are around the same cost per serving, but most are inferior. I watched Julia Child's "The French Chef" when I was still in H.S. in the 1960's, and I have been cooking most of my meals ever since.

Best veggie base and excellent packaging!
When the box showed up today, it looked like it had been run over by a truck, y'all. I didn't see how anything would survive that level of destruction. But let me tell y'all what - that jar of Better Than Bouillon was so well wrapped up, USPS could have shot the box out of a cannon and it wouldn't have made that jar even a little bit nervous. Whoever does their packing - you need a raise, baby. That jar was very well protected! We've always gotten the regular BTB before and it's quite salty, so we were super excited to find a lower sodium version. Big bonus is the mega size jar. We can't wait to try it out! Oh, and we already ordered another jar. ๐ 100% recommend this seller and BTB products.

Definitely better than bouillon cubes
I like Better than Boullionโs, but stores generally do not carry their organic versions, especially this vegetarian one. So Amazon comes to the rescue! NOTE to the company: it seems the only vegetarian product you have that is organic is the vegetable one. Please offer your other 3 vegetarian bases organically. Iโm sure it would be appreciated!
