## Description

Product description ESP32 Chip The ESP32 is dual core, this means it has 2 processors. It has Wi-Fi and bluetooth built-in. It runs 32 bit programs. The clock frequency can go up to 240MHz and it has a 512 kB RAM. This particular board has 36 pins, 18 in each row. It also has wide variety of peripherals available, like: capacitive touch, ADCs, DACs, UART, SPI, I2C and much more. It comes with built-in hall effect sensor and built-in temperature sensor. The ESP32 peripherals include 18 Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) channels 3 SPI interfaces 3 UART interfaces 2 I2C interfaces 16 PWM output channels 2 Digital-to-Analog Converters (DAC) 2 I2S interfaces 10 Capacitive sensing GPIOs ESP32 Expansion Board is designed for DIYmall ESP32 Development Board only. You only need to input DC 6.5-30V voltage on the black DC jack to power the DIYmall ESP32 Development Board. And the ESP32 Expansion Board also comes with a DIP switch, for controlling the power. In order to connect other sensors easily, the ESP32 Expansion Board also has 2 rows of 2.54mm pin headers, powering external sensors/modules with DC 3.3V voltage. ESP32 Expansion Board has brought out all the pins of DIYmall ESP32 Development Board in the form of 2.54mm pin header. The ESP32 can be programmed in different programming environments. Compatible with Arduino IDE,Espressif IDF (IoT Development Framework),Micropython,JavaScript,LUA... This development board can help you to make a variety of projects. - Such as - ESP32 Wi-Fi Multisensor – Temperature, Humidity, Motion, Luminosity, and Relay - Remote Controlled Wi-Fi Car Robot - Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Android Application with MIT App Inventor – Control Outputs and Display Sensor Readings - LoRa Long Range Sensor Monitoring – Reporting Sensor Readings from Outside: Soil Moisture and Temperature - etc...

Review: This is dangerous junk, pins are wrong...stay away - WHat a piece of junk. I bought 2 sets. In each IO14 was not connected to the IO14 pin! Good luck using a JTAG. Cost me 2 days to figure this mistake out. Pin IO14 is connected to air. ALso the first pin in the 3V3 row, as mentioned in the other 1 star review, is actually 5V. ALso GND is not the 3V3 GND at that column. This is wrongly labeled. So some surplus store obviously tries to get rid of wrongly manufactured PCBs. This is criminal and dangerous.
Review: Great Wireless Dev Board with Expansion - This is a great ESP-32 dev board with wireless functions. It works well with the Arduino IDE. Under Windows 11, there is an "optional" driver update required when you first plug in the board to a USB port. You have to go to the advanced tab in the Windows Update settings and explicitly tell it to install the Silicon Labs "CP210x USB to UART Bridge" driver. There is no exact match for the board in the board selection dialogue of the Arduino IDE. Selecting "ESP32-WROOM-DA" seems to work fine and it loads the code examples for both the dev board and the WROOM module. I had no trouble running various test sketches for the wireless module. The default "BLINK" sketch will not compile because the "LED_BUILTIN" variable is not defined for this series of boards. You need to add a statement to indicate that the LED is on pin 02. (see photo). The soldering on the expansion board is fine. There are no dry joints. I tested the pinouts on the dev board and the expansion board and I could not find any issues. All voltages are correct and properly labelled (see photo). This board uses 3.3v for most things. The 3.3v rails are clearly labelled in red on the expansion board. Ground pins are black. The very short 3-pin 5v rail is yellow. The individual pin connections are blue. This colour-coding is extremely helpful and makes it very difficult to make a mistake. I have really enjoyed working with this dev board and the expansion board and it has performed flawlessly for me so far.

### ⭐ BEWARE OF EXPANSION BOARD PINOUT
*by R***R on August 19, 2023*

The 5V Vin pin is actually connected to the next two outward adjacent pins that are supposed to be for the 3.3V and GND rails. Absolutely reckless/incompetent/dangerous to be mislabelling power pins, especially since there is zero documentation aside from these labels.
