This car straight out of the box is an absolute blast! I am an old Tamiya fan who got sick of busting up his expensive and complicated models every time I wanted to rip. Anyway, I wanted something like a Traxxas but they are just so expensive...I thought I would give this HOSIM brand a try first. The reviews were fantastic and for a little over what I used to spend on a controller...I have a ready to go car. I am so glad I did! The brushless motor is awesome. Range is 200 feet plus. It goes faster than I could ever need. Battery life is a little short however. Not bad...but like 12 mins. Like someone else did above, I thought why not try to modify a bigger battery to this buggy. I had some bigger LiPO batteries sitting around from my Tamiya models and I decided to bolt them up (wire tie them on- see pics). It did pretty great. And tied on like this the lid still goes on with the two front pins. This gave me about 35 mins of run time BUT the shocks were bottoming out. I started to look at upgrading the shocks and decided why not upgrade these? I had a kit of springs from Harbor Freight and I used the long spring (furthest right in enclosed picture) INSIDE each individual shock. Yes..inside. Basically, once the shock is off, unscrew the bigger red nut off...and insert the long ballpoint spring looking spring inside! I also filled them with oil an put a small Harbor Freight O-ring under the bottom end red cap too. This is a little more work because you have to actually unscrew the small red cap off and get the O-ring between that and the shock body. READ: I do not know that the oil mod is really necessary ..because with the extra spring alone...it made a huge DIFFERENCE! However, with the oil the squeak went away. With these now proper oil shocks and a 5200 battery...this thing is king of the block! Seriously, its worth a lot more than what they are charging! Hope the tips help!

Let me begin by saying I own quite a few 1/8 , 1/10 scale rc trucks and recently started getting into 1/16 scale because my 7 year old daughter started liking running my barely used 10 year old 1/16 scale Traxxas Slash in the basement and wanted me to get another one so that I could run it as well. I did not wanted to spend too much money on big brands , so started researching and liked 2 which go my attention , one was Hosim hyper go brushed , and other was Hosim Q905 brushless , and both had good reviews , so I bit the bullet and pulled the trigger and got both , mind you both combined were indeed cheaper than buying one 1/16 scale e revo , so fast forward three weeks , I actually run this more than my Hyper go and the reason being is the construction of this little thing . This thing handles like a dream and i don't have any other Rc that handles this good . I am very impressed that the steering has very little play at neutral and I could say this with confidence that everything else I own has lot more play than this little thing. On top of that the A arms have no forward or backward play and props to the engineers for designing a vehicle with literally no slop in steering and A arms , which results in this thing handling like a sports car. I can say that this vehicle was designed with care and by someone that is a hobby enthusiast . I give this RC 7 out of 5 stars , and I gave it 2 more stars because of smiles per mile mile value is way up there considering this thing costs under $200 CAD . Only thing i would add is the company needs to be more active as far as their customers go . Though I did not have any issues with this vehicle at all , the Hosim hyper go i have has issues with leaky shocks and range problems with the vehicle I received and sent them an email 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard from them . If they can take care of their customers as much as they do building these vehicles , I am sure they would take could take companies like Traxxas head on.

I'm totally impressed with the quality and performance of this RC truck! Really glad I chose this one over many others. It's very fast! And the quality rivals other 'bigger brands'! I may just buy another to have some match racing!

Haven't used this car yet, as we are giving to both kids as one of their Xmas presents. However I took it out of the box, to check and to charge the batteries, and the quality of this rc is awesome. Good solid car, so much better than the rubbish u can buy online. I would highly recommend this car to anyone.
